As the game was going on I told my wife to let me alone in my misery. About 10 minutes after it ends I come inside and watch the rest of the gator game with her and root for her team.

Yep Barnes got abused instead of playing the same gameplan he did against michigan state we were regularly in the 402-5 alignment for some reason. Play 4-3 against these fuckers and make them beat you with the pass. They had 3-4 nice throws the whole game

The defense is so vanilla you can pick it apart even as a laymen fan. It's almost like they are trying troll but get rolled.

I've never seen a top tier team play such bad zone. I've never seen a top tier team not disguise coverage. I've never seen a top tier team play so far off man in a cover 2 when it isn't a prevent situation. The LBs play deep as AF instead of lining up closer and blitz bail. I see more inspired scheming from our local HS team.

I love our passing game, but watching a team run it down your throats repeatedly - knowing it's coming - is demoralizing.

All of those 5 star toys are great, but you have to be able to man-up and stop the other guys at some point. Didn't come close to a stop after halftime.

Urban Meyer came in here and corrected defensive end recruiting. He signed guys that would anchor defenses for years to come. We’re sitting here with a bunch of DEs that are below expectations. ThAt shouldn’t matter, UM came in with a bunch of nobodies at DT and still pressured Stroud. But if you want to disrupt an offense, you have world class DEs. Nobody on OSU’s roster is a starting NFL defensive lineman.

Yep last year we would have wiped the floor with them and this year could have leaned the other way if it was played in the shoe. Skipping that game might have been the best call Harbaugh has made his entire career

Yep. MSU has horrible DB's and could get no pressure. OSU's offense was their worst nightmare. They also have a bad o-line so they couldn't maul our d-line. scum is competent on O like Purdue and Oregon and both those teams just completely had their way with our D.

You summed it up nicely. The Barnes and Coombs swap was a nice experiment, but there was nothing that showed it was a fix. This is Ohio State. You have to pay your coach 10 mill a year, and there’s no reason your assistants should be learning on the job. Send Barnes to the MAC to let him learn. Send Coombs to retirement unless you’re going to call him “recruiting manager”, but is that higher than Pantoni?

I'm not going to go that far. That team could very well lose to Wiscy (though not Iowa) or get blown out in the playoffs. Plus, in an era where QB play is everything, how attractive to top QB and receiver prospects is that 1970s offense going to be? Saban moved away from that shit because he realized he had to. I'll take his judgment over Simple Jim's every time.
