Guys you are overlooking the simple facts. The Broncos got rid of Peyton Hillis and Tony Scheffler...a fullback and a tightend respectively.

Put those two positions together and what do you get? H-back. Yeah. H-back. Teboooow.

This may have been said earlier, but I thought it was hilarous how much Tom Jackson (former Bronco himself) hated this pick. He was gesnturing, throwing up his arms...they actually had to pan the camera away from him, then pan back in like 2 minutes as Berman put his hand on him to try and calm him down

He was adamant that Tebow has to be a STARTING QB in the league or this pick was a pile of suck.

i agree.. i would have taken calusen before tebow...

now the broncos have a bench ful of wash out quarterbacks.. but im a little bias as a Chicago Bears fan...

I certainly dislike Tebow and the constant felatio he received but....

His release is beyond horrendous. His wind-up is still a joke. He takes way too long in college and while it may get better, it's still an atrocious throwing motion.

His arm is weak. Not anywhere close to a big NFL arm.

I don't trust his intelligence. Drew Bres and Peyton Manning can read a defensive line and put their offense in a position to in...I don't think Tim sees the defense in that type of detail.

Temas are willing to reach on hm for ticket sales....that is obvious. 80% of Americans claim to be Christian even if they don't know what that truly entails...

Since McDaniels came to town.. the Broncos have:

Traded a legitimate franchise QB (say what you want about Cutler, he was perfect for the Denver offense and just needed to settle down. Loads of potential and he looked like he could've reached it in Denver)

Traded Brandon Marshall, a top 5 WR in the NFL. 100 catches three years in a row.

Traded Tony Scheffler, a very under-rated pass-catching TE with size and athleticism. He was also perfect for the offense they had before McDaniels decided to change everything.

Peyton Hillis, a FB who showed a lot of grit and toughness as a runner, and really stepped up for them when they needed him. Fantastic at catching out of the backfield.

Added Kyle Orton. lulz

He's done some good on defense, but he completely overhauled the offense, which.. was pretty fucking good when he got there.

And now they've traded a 2nd, 3rd and 4th to move up to get a project QB who will not be their starter next year and probably not the year after, and isn't even guaranteed to be a QB at the NFL level.

Thus the pick was a big pile of suck because I dont believe tebow will ever be THE starting quarterback for the broncos, let alone any team. Jackson had the right to be upset. It sucks when your team makes a bad pick like that.

And yet all you hear is that he is rebuilding this team. To me, the only thing it looks like he is doing is tearing it down one offensive weapon at a time.

And I'm not going to complain because we got Cutler out of this cluster-fuck. (Bears fan)

Whether you like him or hate him...he has definitely given us all something to speculate and guess at. He has more than his fair share of people that hate him for his image or faith or perception and those who love him for the same. Either way, let's all admit that it's going to be fun to see if Denver blew it majorly or comes out genius. They took a huge gamble back in the day with MoC and we saw how that turned out. Will be fun to watch the development, or lack thereof of TT.

Some of us aren't guessing though. I'd hate to be that smug, but this isn't going to work. He is not an NFL QB. Period. Lacks the mobility, lacks the arm strength from the pocket, and lacks the timing capabilities it takes to be an NFL QB. Timmy is going to have a rough go in the NFL....

But he's still right up there with Tommy Frazier as greatest non-succesful NFL QB's in history.

2 Things:

1) Thank you to whomever removed the "Future Cleveland Browns QB" tag from his thread.

2) How does said person know that he is not still the "Future Cleveland Browns QB"

that is all

Answer:

Because after several months in the NFL it will become apparent he cannot lead an NFL franchise. Unfortunately for Josh McDaniels, he now has the challenge of molding Tebow into an NFL QB. Unfortunately for Josh, Timmah has less tools than Alex Smith among many other former legit QB prospects.

It's all fairly mind-boggling.....

And Alex Smith is actually smart as hell.

Yeah Bill. I'm pretty sure Tim will file that with the "never win in the SEC with that gimmick offense", "never win now that he is a starter", "never break Hershel Walker's rushing TD record", "never win the Heisman as a sophomore", "never win the National Championship playing Oklahoma" and "never get drafted in the first round" comments he's heard the last four years...

No offense Bill....but while I know there is no chance you are wrong on this, I am foolishly going with Gruden and Belichick's estimation over your far superior prognostication abilities.

Freaking filthy Nole. :p
