Strengths:
With his combination of size and skill level, Parker is one of the elite big men in the 2012 class. He is a space eater in the post who can carve out position on the block. When watching him play you quickly see the skill he possesses; once he catches he has an array of post moves he is capable of throwing at you, led by the left shoulder jump hook. He is very adept at facing the basket from 15' where his soft touch enables him to knock down a jump shot or drive the ball one or two dribbles to the rim. His greatest attribute though is his tremendous hands which are soft and sticky.
Weaknesses:
Over the past year there have been some questions about his stamina and conditioning which was much improved during the July evaluation period. He has obviously worked hard to slim down and cut some body fat. One area Parker could improve to become more dominant, but has a tendency to lose motivation, is on the backboard. If you could get his motor to run at an extra high level Parker could be a terror on the glass. Finally, with continued improvement in his physical conditioning and stamina, Parker will be able to withstand the pace of the game where in the past his level of play dropped quickly when fatigue set in.
Bottom Line:
Parker has been considered a phenom since the ninth grade and reminds me of a Renardo Sidney-type player (big body, great hands, excellent skills) that has the ability to dominate his position. There is no question that Parker is one of the top bigs in this class and possesses the basketball skill to make an immediate impact at the next level.

Basketball: Georgia Tech and UGA recruiting target Tony Parker breaks left wrist
September 26, 2010, by Michael Carvell
Miller Grove High?s Tony Parker, who is one of the nation?s top college basketball prospects for 2012 with more than 40 scholarship offers, including Georgia Tech and Georgia, broke his left wrist over the weekend.
The 6-foot-9, 275-pound power forward got injured while playing against Stephenson in fall league.
?The refs kind of let it get rough out there,? Parker said. ?I was going for a wide-open dunk, and someone came out of nowhere and [collided with me]. I never saw him until the last second.?
Parker busted up his lip and had to get 5 stitches. He also broke his left wrist, and will be out 4-6 weeks.
?I just feel like it?s a minor setback,? Parker said. ?My legs are fine. I can still run and get ready for the start of basketball season.?
Said Miller Grove coach Sharman White, ?It?s unfortunate that it happened. But Tony is young and he should heal quickly. We?re looking at it as a small bump in the road. He?ll be ready for the season.?
Miller Grove is the two-time defending Class AAAA state champions.
Parker said he is nowhere close to making a college decision. He recently took an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech to meet with Yellow Jackets coach Paul Hewitt and is headed to Florida next weekend.
Georgetown and Ohio State recently offered Parker, while he is reportedly close to being offered by Duke.
