PLZ HELP

When I finished downloading the game earlier today it automatically started seeding, no problem.

I had to shut my laptop down so I could watch the game on the road.

I get back home and fire up azureus and it gives me the following error:

Error: Existing data file length too large [2097152>1016170]...

I'd like to seed, cuz its the right thing to do, but have no idea what went wrong, I haven't modified, moved or otherwise molested the files in any way.

Any help would be appreciated.

Azureus sometimes generates weird errors like that. First, play the file to make sure it isn't really corrupted (if you were able to watch it then I guess it wasn't). Second, right-click on the torrent and click "Force Re-check." If it still comes up with the error, remove the torrent by right-clicking on it and clicking "Remove." Start up the torrent again by clicking the link or opening up the torrent file if you have it saved. It will check to make sure the file is complete and not corrupted, and upon completing its check it will start seeding again.

I'm trying to download the '05 Iowa game but nothing's happening. Does that mean no one's seeding it? Help, please.
The Buckeye fan in you is getting smarter. I am only seeding the YSu game until the number of peers go down. I will put it up for you in a cpl days Oregon

OregonBuckeye - Wow that is just a great sig... everytime I see one of your posts, that picture just makes me laugh each time

Anyway.. I started downloading and I am getting some very nice speeds. So thanks to everyone for seeding and I will do the same when it finishes!

I think this year I'm going to try and keep up with things. In 2005 I came to the game late and ended up doing the whole "pack". That was great, but took a very long time to do. :)

Last year, I was so engrossed in watching the games, I didn't download any of them either.

This time, I saw yesterday that Tim put up game 1 and grabbed it immediately. THANKS! I'll be continuing to seed until I leave for work in the morn and then will probably just be on in the evenings.

BTW, we also have 3 peers on the 1995 OSU/Illinois game now. I'm not sure if this is the one that BB said he was going to redo, but I saw it on the torrent page and thought I'd give it a shot. Unfortunately, at this moment, the best we can do is about 47%. It'd be great if one (or more hint hint. <G>) could help us out!

Thanks so much!

Don't give me too much credit. Thanks.

Thanks. I wish I could take credit for it but some other member posted it in the game thread.

I have it and I'll seed it when I get back from work.

Is there a way to download the torrent without needing to register? I really don't want to register on any torrent sites. Thanks!!

Nope. Sorry. :( If you are worried about spam mail or whatnot, make a bogus gmail account and use that to register. Thats what I do, anyway.

Been downloading since Sunday and am at only 62%. Usually only takes a day, is there something I need to be checking? TIA.

I have the same problem but usually 1 and 1/2 days I'm at 65% I noticed yesterday some people said they were downloading 75 to 85 KB WOW mine usually runs at 9 to 15 kbs. Also what do you set your upload speed at unlimited or at 5 kb.

If you are using a router do you have the client listening port forwarded? If you can only make outgoing connections your speeds will suffer because other clients cannot start a connection with your client.

Also, try not to double bag. By that I mean if you are using a NAT router then you do not need the firewall that comes with WinXP or third party stuff. Disable it.

You can test your clients listening port at Gibson Research by pasting this address into your browsers address bar and replacing the X's with the listening port number that you chose.

If the status is OPEN then things are set up properly. If the status is CLOSED or STEALTH then there is a problem.

We finally have more seeders than peers. Keep up the seeding please until we get everyone done and thanks and enjoy. Some people have slower computers than others and we need to get everyone done before the next game so keep your computers turned on.
