Game Thread tOSU at Miami FL, Sept 17, 7:30 pm ET, ESPN

I Understand what Fickell&Co intended to do with Bauserman, and try to ride him out as a game manager, but with no threat of him passing the ball at all that is extremely difficult, a few Drops hurt Baus tonight, but overall it just wasn't a good performance, im not a JB basher, but i cant come up with anything to say, on why he should still play. In my eyes, you ride BM the whole way from here to the end of the year. get him some game experience and chances to put more points on the board. At least create some excitement on offense, watching JB tonight was excruciating

I thought last week was a one time thing..coaching staff has work to do..receivers were'nt getting seperation but our play calling was more I hope this works than we have a plan..we haven't had a real passing game since Walt Harris..T Smith was fine but we had 3 pros(AG.TG. and Santonio) at receiver

Good point. Not to mention a young Robiskie and Hartline. A future starter in the NFL too in Beanie

Frustrating game to watch.

Hope those tattoos were worth it boys because this team could have used some of that senior leadership tonight.

Defense played great. I'm not mad about the timeouts because what would have happened? Nothing offensively. I think some of you are over playing the "they quit" factor. The defense was gassed after a great performance and the O would have done absolutely nothing with the ball.

Bollman's time is over. It's obvious now that there is NO plan offensively. If Luke does get the job then the next morning he needs to have Coach Bollman resign or fire him. I know Brewster loves him but tonight was inexcusable offensively. This is an elite football program that passed for 35 fucking yards. 4-17 passing for a 2.1 yard average. Are you shitting me?

Boise came out last night and beat the shit out of Toledo because they have an offensive game plan. They have a great QB, don't get me wrong, but that game was pitch and catch. They have a plan. Ohio State does not. I was hard on the O line earlier today and I am eating crow. They came out and allowed OSU to run the ball until UM realized that they could put 10 in the box without the threat of a pass. Props to the O line tonight!! Props to Hyde and Hall.

Hard to blame Luke for this one. Hopefully Posey, Herron, and Adams catch a ton of shit from their team mates because they deserve it.

Love this. I used to get so pissed off at some of his decisions. Got banned. Ahhh.................... memories.

We'll be OK again someday. Let's hope sooner rather than later.

I didn't put the blame all on him. Read what I wrote. I said we have a very experienced staff...no reason for all that experience to lay an egg like that. Then again, we are pretty horrific at the QB position right now...much like we were until scUM week in 2004.

"I have serious concerns with Fick's long term viability here after that performance. Might be in a little over his head."

I was just saying the poor offense might not be his doing. He is not calling the offensive plays.

I am aware of that too, but lets face it, if he had a heck of a season it would be tough to fire him even if the NCAA is lenient. Now his chances are looking a lot closer to none than slim.

I just think that the likely hood of him having a "heck of a season" were extremely unlikely given what he is having to deal with. IMO a heck of a season for this year would be 8-4 with a win over scUM. However I doubt that would be enough to save him if the NCAA is lenient.

Yep. This team lost to Maryland...... and we lost by 3 scores to them.

This was not the same team that lost to Maryland.

2 minutes left in the 4th down by 11, and they are choosing to go for it on 4th down to send a message, against us?!?! You call a [censored]ing time out every time, and you get the ball back and jam it down their [censored]ing throat for even attempting to "send a message" against us.

It wasn't sending a message. You go for it every single time in that situation.

Personally, this reminded me of another game roughly 10 years ago.

He looked "in over his head" all night, my IMO. Also, pretty sure the HC has final say on the offensive gameplan. I like Luke, I hope like hell he succeeds, but I have some concerns right now...and I think they're pretty valid.

True. They got many of their starters back for this game. Ours are out for 5. Someone explain that one to me.

This is what I keep trying to forget. This team isn't supposed to look like this.

This team is supposed to be sporting a senior, Heisman calibur QB, a set of game-changers at WR and HB and a HOF coach at the helm.

I don't think it has really hit me until just now how much damage a few blatantly poor decisions by a handful of players really makes.
