Game time 8 EST -- are we talkin' AM or 20 hundred hours? Can't believe they'd put this game on at night. Must not be anything better or the World Series in on.

20 hundred, which is actually 8 EDT. :wink2:

I avoid the D and S in the thread titles, since it just muddles things.

I don't think the Buckeyes will have much trouble with the Gophers this weekend. Having been to the majority of the Gopher games this year..the team typically shows up for 2 quarters a game and the other 2 quarters we (fans) are left shaking our heads. The hustle and excieitment on the field is just not there. This past weekend for the Penn State game the 1st and 4th quarters were like attending a funeral. Very quiet and not much to cheer for. Gopher fans are just looking forward to next year and finding out who our new coach will be.

That being said with all the negatives...the new stadium on campus is a jewel and your fans will love it here. On campus next to the the basketball and hockey arenas and plenty of bars as well.

Well at least you'll be miserable ahead of time, just in case.

:lol:

What I meant by my post about being last year's Purdue was that I don't want to walk in thinking we're just going to steamroll over them. On paper, that is exactly what should happen. But after Purdue last year, I'm not going to just assume it will.

I agree you have to respect everyone but I think they got that game out of their system at Illinois.

You have to look at the other team and see if they do anything that could be a match up problem. Minny can pass it plus they seem to be able to keep Decker upright long enough/roll him out enough to do it. They also seem to have a decent punt return game. Defensively Minny is a train wreck of TSUN proportions.

MY guesstimate;
OSU 35ish
Minny 17-21. Not sure how much of that comes in the competitive stage of the game however.

It won't happen again this year because it just happened to them against Purdue last year (and this year against Illinois). This team looks focused and probably didn't start thinking about Minnesota until it was 35-0 against Purdue.:biggrin: The post game presser with the senior captains mentioned how they needed to start fast and I'm sure it will be a point to be driven home week in and week out.

There's still much to play for and alot of football games to sort things out. Not to mention, this group of seniors is capable of leading them to: a 12 win season, 9th BCS appearance, 8th MNC, 7th straight victory in The Game and a 6th straight Big Ten title. I don't think they'll be overlooking a Minnesota team in primetime on National (Regional) TV.

I think you meant to say Weber there. They lost Decker after last season. And I doubt having Decker back would change the outcome of this game. My prediction would look like OSU 38 goophers 10.
