tOSU Recruiting Discussion

There will not be a formal junior day moving forward. The idea is to bring smaller groups of kids in throughout the entire winter/spring rather than bringing in a ton of kids on one set weekend.

Which makes infinitely more sense IMO.

With a heavier emphasis on speed guys, does the 2014 class have room for 2 tall possession style wrs like kief and todd? Or is it a first guy commits and were done with the tall guys type thing?

I would imagine they would take 3 overal, one of Kief or Todd, Harris (who's also pretty tall) and then another guy like Kitt or Autrey.

Interesting to see Campbell so high (which I like), Booker seems to have dropped a little (based on production, maybe?), and Scout has M. Jones way down the list.

It seems like Jones has lost a little weight since last season, and I think he'll start to climb up the rankings if his weight loss continues and his motor improves (less plays off).

The above is just what I've pieced together on Jones and Booker and I would like to hear more about Booker and Jones from those who are more in tune with Ohio h/s football.

Click on this link, scroll down to post #44, and watch Jones' junior highlight film. There is no doubt in my little mind, Jones has immense talent. Why the low rating is an interesting question, it's not a lack of talent.

bingo, its funny that Fickell and Vrabel want him badly at DT. Whenever, OSU coaches argue over what position that recruit should play tells me one thing

I'm happy Ferns is all up north. Watch his state game and he had one good play as a TE for a TD .His play at MLB was a M.I.A and he's considered a miss.

To be fair, Ferns was playing injured during that game.
I know that the announcers said, it over and over during the game but, his TD catch was a very athletic catch in a crowded area, So, if his knee, back or shoulder were bothering him so badly, he loses me feeling sorry for him.

Well good thing he was playing for your pity... It's not like OSU tried to get him or anything.
