Who wins the 18-hole playoff on Monday: Tiger or Rocco?

Note - this thread replaced the first playoff vBet, since I messed up and had the odds reversed. Tiger is the favorite, Rocco will pay out more if he wins.

Playoff

Tiger is a 10-1 fave.

Rocco is an ass
Tiger is amazing. He has the eyes of a killer when focused.

Now the strategy becomes match play in a sense. But the score will remain medal.

Wouldnt it be really amazing if Tiger throws a putter if it lips out again.
Would Rocco root against Tiger on camera again?

Can Rocco win?

How many are rooting for the underdog?

Very interesting scenario here.

Either golfer may ultimately regret getting what they wished for.

Saturday night Rocco said he wanted to play with Tiger.

Tiger wanted to make that tying putt.

The test will be who is more ready for a 5th straight day - a 45 year old man or Tiger's knee.

I do wish that for a two man playoff it was match play.

part of me agrees with you, i love match play, but the bigger part of me likes it the way it is - because the fatphil style quadruple blow up means more than just a lost hole

Agreed. I think the way they have it is the best way. Like you said, if you blow up on 1 hole, it would only cost you that hole. I don't like mix and matching stroke play and match play. Keep them separate like they have and I think it's perfect.

I'll be rooting for Rocco, just because he's never won a major and this is I think they said his 43rd or so major he's played in. Nothing wrong with rooting for the underdog. However I won't be upset if Tiger wins. I just like to see someone new to win

2/7 odds with tiger? :shake: I'll take the Rocco to win this vbet.

I came up with those odds by myself last night. This morning, I looked at a Vegas betting service, and Tiger was -400, Rocco was +300. That relates to Tiger at 1-4 and Rocco at 3-1. The vbet odds are slightly better than that in both instances, since there's no profit margin built in, and they add up to 100%.

I guess I fail to understand the reason for the blue-faced smiley.

2 things:

1) Is the pain in the knee also possibly new damage he's doing to it?

2) Will he be ready for the British Open after all the pressure he's putting on that leg?
1) He is probably getting the best medical advice money can buy after every round. I think if is orthopedic surgeon thought he was doing more damage to his knee he would probably have told him to drop out because it really could affect his career.

2) I forget where they are playing the British Open this year but sometimes you really don't have to even drive the ball that much in that Open.

I do wish that for a two man playoff it was match play.
Personally I like the way the British Open does it. A four hole playoff if they are tied after the 72 holes. It is much better than a one hole because it is more fair. The problem with match play to decide a major championship is that you can be very risky on one hole and it would not cost you the championship.
