I haven't worn a watch in.... a long time. Can't even remember when.

I wear them for style or for running.

I've been looking at mechanical watches on Ebay and must say that men's watches are 1000% cooler than women's. They are more intricate and have far more diversity of design. Some of the antique art deco styles are really interesting, though, so I'm watching for just the right one. Gruens from the 1920s or so always catch my eye, which is good as those aren't so pricey. Finding a suitable band might be the toughest part; all those older ones are tiny.

Sometimes I browse pocketwatches simply because they can be so beautiful.

(Actually, one of the things I've noticed is how many women's watches are basically pared-down versions of the more boring men's designs with some diamonds slapped on. There are some artistic jewelry-style watches, but most are pretty blah.)
