Week 14 Games Discussion

Friday Game
Oregon vs. Utah (Pac-12 CG in Las Vegas, Nevada) | 8 p.m. | ABC

Saturday Games
Baylor vs. Oklahoma State (Big 12 CG Game in Arlington, Texas) | 12 p.m. | ABC
Georgia vs. Alabama (SEC CG in Atlanta) | 4 p.m. | CBS
Houston at Cincinnati (AAC CG) | 4 p.m. | ABC
Michigan vs. Iowa (Big Ten CG in Indianapolis) | 8 p.m. | FOX

What we have here is almost the first round of a ten team playoff, except Georgia is in win or lose, and I don't think Utah, Houston, Iowa, or Oregon are likely to get in even if they win. Maybe the answer to forget expansion and just require each team to be a conference champion. Tough luck SEC and ND.

I’ve been saying that for years, get to 4 Power conferences, and the 8-team playoff starts this week.

No committee needed.

You have something against under the table deals and smoke-filled rooms? I guess they're not allowed to smoke in them anymore.

Here's what I see happening tomorrow: Cincinnati finishes off their perfect season with a playoff spot. Georgia finally beats Alabama but that won't necessarily eliminate the Tide (see under the table deals), Michigan is too much for Iowa and their Pop Warner offense, and Baylor avenges their regular season loss to Gundy's mullet.

That puts Georgia, Cincinnati, and Michigan in the playoff. The 4th spot gets filled by Notre Dame or Alabama.

My Pitt Panthers will, of course, win the ACC title game over Wake Forest. Bet accordingly.

Yeah, I’m hoping the mullet gets a spot for Okie State, knocking out Bama and ND.

You've convinced me. The idea that a team should be able to lose a conference championship game (or worse yet, not even get to the championship game), but still make the playoffs is BS. Let the sports channels that need content have all the bowl games they want, but limit the playoffs to conference champions only.

Utes had a lot of momentum the first time, playing at home in the tribute unis.

I expected Oregon to be more competitive tonight. So far, nope.

Jake you mean to tell me with the better Line Play is pushing Oregon around?
My god. Will wonders never cease?

Utah was undefeated at home, but they lost at BYU, San Diego State, and Oregon State. Not sure their line is THAT dominant.

But they don't have to be with Brown throwing pick sixes.
