What is the loudest "moment" that you have heard in The Shoe?

HilmerJ

Heisman
i have never been but, when i was reading about Hawk scoring that td, and how loud it was i was thinking to ask the people who have been there many times, what time was the loudest?

maybe Holmes TD vs Texas
Allens int vs UM in 02
Ginn 82 yarder last year

any thoughts?

The loadest I ever heard it was against Penn State in '02 on Gamble's interception. It didn't get much quieter the rest of the game, either.

well i can say this...i was there on saturdy when hawk scored the td, and my goodness did it get loud..

and also when all the seniors were coming off one by one at the end of the game, when aj left, the whole place rumbled..and the AJ chant came out...and a tear came to my eye..

I wish I was at that game and the NW this past weekend to compare between Gamble's INT and Hawk's return...both sounded unreal on TV, so I can only imagine how they were in real life.

A lot of it depends where you were sitting in the stadium.

I was there for the Gamble interception against Penn St. and I didn't think it was that loud but then again I was sitting up in C Deck.

The two I remember was when Terry Glenn had the 82 yard TD reception against Notre Dame and the time I believe Jerry Rudzinski or Luke Fickell had an interception against Michigan at the beginning of the 2nd half.

I believe they tipped the ball to themselves and caught it as they fell down.

Also the time either Grbac or Collins fell in the endzone in the closed end of the stadium for a safety.

i've only started going to games this season so i'm probably not the best person to answer this question but the loudest moment i've experienced in the shoe so far was holmes TD vs. texas. you could hear and feel the crowd hold their breath as smith released it and when holmes made the catch it was the most deafening roar. with all the emotion and hype that led up to the game it just felt so good to let it all out.

The PSU game was unreal. The scUM game that year was incredible, but for pure energy, I would still take the 13-7 victory over Sate Penn.

Could the "Shoe" have ever been any louder than what it was for the Michigan game of 2002, when Allen intercepted with no time remaining. I wish i could have been there for that moment. How loud was that moment, huh? I have watched that game 15 times over since.
