You will hear many stories, ad nauseum, about Urban Meyer and his Ohio roots. Maybe even dig up his famous out clauses in his contract when at Utah. His past ties to the OSU program.

You will hear numerous tidbit stories like the first time these programs have ever met. The first time a team has been involved in 3 #1 v #2 games in a season and, as a corollary, the first opportunity for one team to win all 3 of those games. OSU attempting to win 2 NC's in 5 years. Urban Meyer attempting to do in his second year exactly what JT did in his second year.

I'm talking about the story that the media will glob onto going into the game.

Hard to say...I'd be happy just to hear someone discuss the Heisman without bringing up Brady Quinn's name. But I do know two things:

1. Tressel, staff, and the team will be focused on all the right priorities going into the NC game REGARDLESS of how the media plays it; and

2. Win or lose, I will emerge a bigger Buckeye fan than I am now. It's in my DNA.

I'm already sick of hearing how Michigan is definitely better than Florida and got hosed.

What's funny is the same people making both of those arguments, which are diametrically opposed.

I guess we should feel lucky that the media didn't decide to let FL and scUM play for the NC!
