In the eyes of the NCAA Meyer is a saint compared to Tressel, so he has that going for him.

Sure, his players may get arrested several times a month, but since no one gives a shit about things like breaking real laws as long as they are not against NCAA rules, I really think he could restore Ohio State's image nationally.

I know he has OSU connections, but the Urban Meyer to OSU theorists might notice a picture of Woody on Urb's wall during his Gameday segment. Someone call Scully and Mulder.....

I guess I need to find a way to show sarcasm better when I post :biggrin: .... For several weeks on 850 KNR people would be calling saying Bill Cowher bought a house near Cleveland and he was going to coach the Browns. I was going more for that angle...

I've excluded NFL coaches who are currently employed in stable, successful positions, but no one else. Carroll is not yet successful as an NFL coach, so in my mind he's on the list (not that I especially want him here).

I hadn't thought about Pete. The Seahawks definitely aren't turning into something fantastic any time quick even though they're in a shit division. However, he did just turn 60. That may or may not be a factor as he appears to be a "young 60", but it's still a consideration.

Carroll is a great coach but after what happened at USC, I would have to put him on my, Do Not Want list.
