Can't recall any deaths in a hockey game. The worst injury I heard about from an open ice body check was a hit by Bryan Marchment on Mike Gartner that collapsed one of Gartner's lungs. Gartner's comment: "I shoulda had my head up."

The young forward unexpectedly collided with his teammate during the line change. Soon after a 19-year-old hockey player?s heart stopped, and he was sent to the resuscitation.

My favorite part of that game was the d-line's brutality. I can't wait until we have another one like that (not holding my breath). They allowed the rest of the defense to do their job and win the game for us.
