WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion)

Braxton's most likely going to be one of the top QB's in the nation in 2011.. I doubt he'll be scared away by competition.

I worded that poorly. I guess what I was trying to say is that it would be nice to get a good player with some potential but who won't cause friction if a younger guy (miller) passed him on the depth chart. That might work easier if it is a guy who isn't a 4 star type talent.

His name is Kenny Guiton... His name is Kenny Guiton...

Seriously, I look at the difference between this recruiting season vs. last recruiting season as this...

Many Buckeye fans (not specifically BP, I mean the other sites also) were upset about not having a specific QB target until late in the recruiting season, and thus "costing" us a QB recruit in the class. (We got Guiton, not chopped liver.) We brought Gardner in for a visit just before signing day, as a junior QB, and he never ended up getting his offer, bc we didn't get our QB target either. This is where the difference comes in to play. We now have a specific QB target, early in the recruiting season, with another junior QB on the docket. This time around, our junior QB target will verbal on the same weekend that Gardner was not allowed to. Big differenciado.

The only problem now is pleasing the Buckeye fans that want to see it work both ways.

Pretty bold statement. He reminded me of Juice Williams with more speed when I was watching his film. The funny thing is that he was only a soph. Stud.

I guess if Montana does end up somewhere else, we would take a guy like Hendrix or another less heralded QB, which wouldn't scare off Miller.

I'm not really that knowledgeable about the details of playing quarterback, but his release looks pretty darn quick and his throws a rope.

It's also kind of ironic that he's playing in a fairly decent conference, because he really does look like he's head and shoulders better than the competition.

Great pocket presence/Awareness.
Can really throw on the move, which is something I love to see!!!
Is electric with the ball in his hands. I'm not sure how actually fast he is, but it's plenty fast enough and he has great hips and feet.
Can make every throw!
Perfect touch on each throw.
Has a great arm, very live.
Seems to do a good job of seeing the field.
I don't know too much about throwing motion to judge it, but it looks like he pushes it out there at times kinda like pryor, however at other times it looks like he really throws the football.
WOW. He has a freaking rocket for an arm.
I know this might not sound correct, but I like everything that I see from Braxton Miller. This kid is insane.

He's going to have to learn to drop before he gets killed. He looks like he would dive into a wood chipper if it was the only way into the endzone. This could be bad in D-1 college football for a quarterback (obvious :roll2:). Other than that he looks like a total beast.

I'll start with criticism...he needs to step into his throws. He has a composite throwing motion that is also powerful, but he is going to be much more accurate and even more powerful if he does this. He also needs to make better decisions...not sure why this is on his highlight reel but he threw some pretty stupid passes. However, this is just being nitpicky and he is only a sophmore that has played QB for a little over a year. The good...he has a cannon. He can throw short, medium, and long with ease. He knows when to lay it in and when to put it on a frozen rope. He is a little off on his short slants, leaving it behind the WR but again, if he steps to his target he will be better off. Amazing athlete who sees the field and makes quick decisions with his feet while in distress. Seems to find every open space for that extra yard. Throws well on the run and seems to be pretty composed for his age. All in all, he still has much room for technical improvement but has literally all the potential in the world, which makes him even more exciting. Also keep in mind that he broke his leg which kept him out for about 6-7 weeks I believe, so his reel could have been much longer had he been healthy.

He plays in the best conference in the Dayton area... Although Wayne has struggled with Centerville the last few years, that rivalry is always a good game to see.

I didnt want to be the first to say it, but yea he's got alot of work to do as a passer. I thought he "pushed" alot of those throws and wasn't consistent with his mechanics. But hell, he's a sophomore. The talent is all there.

The critcism may be valid (I am no expert), but Terry Bradshaw threw alot (I mean alot) of stupid passes because he had a cannon for an arm, so did John Elway. That is also what made them great. No doubt mechanics can be an issue but sometimes tinkering can lead to doubt an indecision. I guess I am more results oriented: does he get the ball where it needs to be on time? In the meantime, if his mechanics can be improved without inhibiting his talent than fine, all for it.
