WR DeVier Posey (2017 Grey Cup Champion and MVP)

He had an excellent game going in the first quarter including a nice down filed block that helped TP pick up a few extra yards and then just disappeared. Given the two drops by Washington I have to think we'll see more of DeVier and Carter this week.

He went into Navy with a hurt ankle and Im sure Tressel didn't want to risk further injury with USC lurking.

In watching a replay of the game, I noticed Coach Tressel talking with Posey on the sidelines and pointed to his ankle and appeared to say something about not wanting Posey to hurt his ankle.

Did anyone else catch this?

:osu:

I saw it too. I wonder if he wanted Posey to save a little for USC. :osu:

A poster on Scout premium said that it was an issue with some players' pads that, if they weren't fixed, could land the team a penalty.

I didn't really get it, but I think that's what he said.

That makes sense because Tress appeared to be bugged about something when Posey came off the field. Posey immediately started adjusting his knee pads. Was he even wearing them??

Except he was back on the field after that, so whatever the issue, pads weren't the determining factor.
