What, a 46 year old former rock star, turned "Danger Kitty" side show babbling on about his "heart being broken" by some silicon slut he has been paid to get to know doesn't strike you as honest television?

I'm desperately hoping one of the cable channels picks up Pushing Daisies. IMO, it woud be a great fit in with the rest of USA's original programming.

That was a good show. It's a love-it-or-hate-it sort of show, though, so it probably didn't go over well with groups, specifically families watching together.

Big Bang Theory is pretty freaking hilarious. I've learned not to drink anything while watching that one.

I agree there. CBS actually has some good sitcoms on Monday and Wednesday. 2 and 1/2 men, BigBangTheory, Gary Unmarried...etc

I think the problem must be with network TV cost structures.

ESPN proved that you can create trash sports and broadcast it and Americans will watch.

Now, CNN has started. Why pay for genuine news coverage when you can get "i-report"ers to do it for you. Who cares is Percy Fatarse of Shelucki, Tennessee is upset because his vet is overcharging him or if he thinks the AIG guys should give back the dosh or not?

Now, CNN are showing [breathless with excitement, I must calm down] "real behind the scenes" programs. Last night, no kidding, they showed a segment on Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. The owner said business is just fine and then they panned to the real inside scoop about ordering "wit" or "witout". Wow, gripping TV.

Later, realizing that they were sitting on a gold mine, they ran a behind the scenes story on the making of the cheesesteak segment. I am being completely serious. I spilled my coffee when they mentioned that "you probably recognize producer Jimmy Fokstick [whatever] from his work in Bosnia". You can't make this stuff up.

Right on! I still find the acting for Leonard to be particularly bad, but Sheldon is my new hero. I aspire to be as socially awkward as he is.

We also enjoy Rules of Engagement, but we fast-forward through any scene not involving Patrick Warburton. Evil Johnny = . David Spade = still not funny. The two younger characters are appallingly bad actors....how these idiots got work is beyond me.

Sheldon is great. He's the only reason that I watch that show.

By cable I mean FX, TNT, HBO, Showtime, and SciFi (I know USA has several shows, but I haven't watched any of them since they canceled La Femme Nikita). Maybe you are watching too much VH1 and MTV.

Burn Notice is ok, but nothing special. I don't think that you're missing anything by boycotting USA Network.

WTF is up with SciFi (soon to be SyFy?) showing big time wrestling? That's some bullshit right there. No way in hell wrastling should be on the SciFi channel.

It would if you have a Klingon vs. a Borg. :p I hate to say it, but I enjoy many of their series. Galactica deserves it, but I also enjoy Eureka and didn't hate Flash Gordon.

I don't watch any of the [censored]ing things. But my wife does ... :tic: Top Chef, Next Supermodel, Top Hairstylist, Top Blowjob, ...

SciFi actually does have "reality" shows, which says something about our national psyche.

My own TV viewing is pretty much limited to TCM, PBS, ESPN in all its various flavors, Big Ten Network, and the Golf Network. And the movie channels that I don't need to pay extra for - Starz, Encore, etc.

I like it. It's entertaining. Just not something that I have to watch every week. Me saying that a TV show is 'ok' is actually pretty high praise. I'm not happy with much of what's put on television. Galactica is probably the only series that I have to watch, and it's ending this week. I'm pretty much done with TV after this Friday.

CBS sitcoms have been pretty mediocre since King of Queens and Everybody Loves Raymond ended. None of them are particularly well acted. Really don't see what all the fuss is about.

I feel your pain, exhawg. Seems like all my favorite shows are either canceled too soon or start to go downhill quickly, like the Showtime series(Weeds, Californication, and even Dexter).

Thank God for sports.

Burn Notice is very good IMO. But they aren't cranking out 20+episodes a year.

Galactica ended well, and a lot of shows could learn from what they did. I was disapointed by the last 20 minutes though, but that's another discussion for another day.

BBCA has some great shows. Life on Mars was really good, Ashes to Ashes has started off well too. I liked Primeval, and Top Gear is just a helluvagood car show.
