  • first, note my participation in the "stands with" thread. second, do you really not see a (huge) difference between criminal mischief, which leads to a hospital visit, and ncaa bylaw mischief?
9/1790 St. PtTimes, Pg 10C“I think we made a wise decision,” Bowden said. .”We have more flexibility. When you’re in the SEC, you can’t afford to play a good non-conference schedule. You can’t play Notre Dame and Miami. Playing an ACC scehedule, we can play Notre Dame, we can play Auburn, we can play Miami, we can play Florida. We’ve got all we want.” “Look at any conference: it’s two schools and the others. . .but the SEC has six teams that can win the thing. That might be a negative rather than a plus. I want to win a national championship. Winning a conference championship doesn’t feed my ego.” 9/20/90 L.A. Times, Sec C9, FL ST REVERSE WAS THE SMART PLAY “Bowden preferred the ACC for the SEC for the last reason. No team, he reasoned, wins a national championship with an 8-3 record, a distinct possibility ion the ultracompetitive SEC. [FSU] was willing to join the SEC if the Seminoles didn’t have to play Auburn and Alabama in the same year. The leaguedeclined.”
Just a note. My nephew just called me and told me has arrived at FAMU for his freshman orientation. He earned an academic full ride. He moves into the dorms in three weeks. Being a B-CU fan, it kills me to see him become a Rattler, but I'm proud of him for getting the scholarship.
