A.J. enjoyed Alabama and they have replaced USC in his top two. The opportunity for immediate playing time is very attractive to A.J. Right now, Florida and Alabama lead with Alabama making a strong push to be his possible favorite, but A.J. will still visit LSU and tOSU in January before deciding.

Good read from Dave Biddle, but really nothing new from the Rivals article. A.J. did enjoy talking to JT and Coach Beckman last week and does stay in frequent contact with the staff. He says he would not be visiting tOSU if he was not truly interested. A.J. will announce on signing day.

USC To Take Shot At Jones

 LB A.J. Jones (6-2 195) of Tampa is one of the nation's highest rated players at his position. He had early interest in USC but has not included the Gamecocks in his visit plans thus far. But the Gamecocks will make one more attempt to get him on campus. Gamecock recruiter David Reaves will meet with Jones Wednesday at his school according to Jones's father. Jones has visited Southern Cal and Alabama and will visit Ohio State this coming weekend. He is also scheduled to visit Florida January 20th and LSU January 27th.

keep in mind that A) he has been rumored to be a silent verbal to UF for a long time B) his father is sick so he will probably want to stay nearby and C) we are already going to have Johnson, Moeller, Homan, Gibson and posisbly McCarthy in this class. Not to sound negative but any news on Jones may still just be delaying the inevitable...

Jones Likely At USC This Weekend

 LB A.J. Jones (6-2 195) of Tampa said Tuesday afternoon he "probably" will visit USCarolina this weekend. Jones said he would make a final decision on the trip by Wednesday. Jones visited Ohio State last weekend. "It went real good, " he said of the visit. "It just shocked my mind because I haven't been up north befoe. It's in a great city. They have a good program and I like the coaches." Jones has visited Southern Cal and Alabama and he will visit Florida on the 20th. Because of his planned USC visit, he has scratched plans to visit LSU January 27th. He does not have a favorite.
