'06 FL WR/CB Bryan Thomas (Florida Signee)

This would explain why Slaughter and other targets might not be as big of a priority for the staff. We already have Chichester and probably Small (who arguably projects at WR). We brought in three WRs (plus Amos) last year. If this kid comes on board, I'd say we're plenty loaded at WR.

Only thing to temper people's interest is that just over this summer he's been favoring Miami, Florida and now us. I like our chances being the latest of those three, and bet we could blow him away just enough on a visit. Great news either way. I'll take a 6'2" athlete with great speed.

Does anyone have a link of the updated best of Florida lists? I saw an earlier one where he was about #77.

Getting Bryan Thomas would be HUGE for us. this kid's strides are as long as TG's. he has a great ability to make a play on the ball, whether from the WR or DB position. Superior athlete who is also a playmaker on the field.

It appears we are in Bryan's top two - I am pumped!

In fact, in this Rivals article from 7/21, Bryan says tOSU and Florida are way ahead of everyone and it would take a very impressive visit to change that. He also states he did not have any interest in Florida until Urban Meyer came in.

Until you can provide a source, personally I don't hold any merit in your comments.

I see by reading that Bryan Thomas has OSU as it's leader. Hate to tell you folks this but I know the young man personally and he said Florida was his leader but that OSU was in the top three. The author of the story evidently made the whole thing up about OSU leading. Bryan said that all they asked was who his leaders were. As a result Bryan tossed the last letter he's received from the OSU coaches.

Looks like you guys lost a good one with your dishonesty.

If that made him stop considering OSU, then OSU would've never gotten him anyways.

So Bryan is tossing letters out from Ohio State coaches because some recruiting site (not affiliated with The Ohio State University) allegedly lied about what he said in his interview?

Good one.

yeah since an independent guy on a website made up brian's leader being ohio state he's now taking it out on the osu coaches who had nothing to do w/ this... really believable! can one of the mods check this guy's IP to see if he's even in florida where thomas is from?
