'06 OH OL/DT Aaron Brown (Virginia Tech Signee)

This situation replays once in a while. Ex: Antonio Hall, we all said it back then.... good luck if you don't make the pro's or for his matter become a musician. I don't want to come across with the almighty superior attitude of Ohio State, but you have to keep in mind after college... You leave the state and you're not going to get taken care of as well, as if you graduate tOSU. OSU takes care of their own.

There is too much info floating around that cannot be adequately substantiated and every "insider" has an opinion on where he is headed. When you have polar opposite opinions like Duane and Chris Pool on a recruit such as Aaron, obviously someone, and most likely just about everyone, is not really getting a very good read on the situation.

Chris Pool with regards to Aaron's recruitment, might as well get some Tarot cards to interpret. He doesn't have a clue. Duane speaks to George so his information is much better. My information isn't speculative at all. It looks good for the home team, but it won't be without a fight.

I know your info is good and has been in the past...thanks for contributing. The clowns I was referring to to earlier that like to throw a lot of you know what at the wall and see what sticks are guys like Pool. With regards to Aaron, Chris has been talking Tennessee for a while now. Yet he won't reveal where he has been getting his info, suffice it to say it isn't George or Aaron.

I think we all know where Chris is getting his info on Aaron...

Auburn Rivals $

it's so confusing following this recruitment. this article says that distance won't be a factor. says that the Brown's are tired of recruiting. says tOSU visit was ok, but they'd seen everything before. also talks about the depth charts at his final choices and mentions ND's as the most favorable.

What is most important between now and Oct 6th are the coaches ability to persuade the Brown's that their program will provide ( I can't prioritize these, but I know they will all factor):

Academic support
The opportunity(assurances not guarantees) to play early
Proximity
Winning tradition
Rapport with the O-line coach, other staff
Aaron's "gut" feeling on where he would be the happiest

OSU Bucks 22, I read the Rivals article just as you have. See the second consideration above. Auburn isn't "proximate" enough. Have you seen the fuel prices lately? Miami? Of Ohio, maybe:tongue2: !

Look for Tiller if at all anyone to get Aaron's last visit. Hope that clarifies things for ya!

madville has the goods on Aaron's recruitment...as long as he thinks OSU is still in it, I'm trusting him. Charlie Weis, Frank Beamer and Joe Tiller are all great coaches, but they aren't JT and they don't coach at The Ohio State University and that is one advantage we have over everyone.

And you guys think ND fans have ego's......

try and keep up with the context. this is the Aaron Brown thread so my comments are meant to be taken with respect to Aaron's recruitment. So it's not ego...it's the fact that both the Browns are in love with JT and Ohio State and have been since the very beginning when George said Aaron was OSU's to lose. And that is the one advantage that OSU has over ND, VT and Purdue when it comes to Aaron and George.
