Woodland Hills 47
Norwin 7

Tied, 7-7, at halftime, the Wolverines showed why they are No. 1 in the WPIAL and No. 3 in the PIAA, as they hammered the host Knights over the final 24 minutes of their Quad East matchup.

Woodland Hills (4-0, 2-0) appeared to take a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on Marcel Farrish's 85-yard run. It was nullified by a penalty, however, and the Wolverines had to punt.

The Knights (1-3, 1-1) returned it to the Woodland Hills 21, and Dan Kozak ran in from there for a 7-0 advantage.

Farrish, the No. 2 rusher in WPIAL Class AAAA at game time, tied it with an 11-yard run in the second quarter. He also scored on runs of 2 and 44 yards, and finished with 24 carries for 176. He has 580 yards this season.

Teammate Wes Lyons caught two touchdown passes from Vondre Griffin.

Darrin Walls, Woodland Hills' outstanding receiver/defensive back, left in the first half with a shoulder injury.
Woodland Hills quarterback Keith Howell was suspended for the game for disciplinary reasons. Tyron Morrison started and was replaced by Griffin.

or is it a sign the staff got a bad vibe from Ausberry?

who knows... that very well could be... plus i think Wes is having a pretty big senior year, so that has to help as well.
another thing, if Devon does get a redshirt for this year, maybe that's appealing to Wes as well. it would give him three years on campus with his brother instead of just two and would make it more likely that they would see the field together...

As far as Wesley goes, in the past three months or so, he has had Oklahoma, Miami, and West Virginia as his leaders, and now he is also talking highly about Boston College and Louiville (with little mention of Miami and Oklahoma); Ohio State seems to be the only constant in the equation. I still think that the Bucks win this battle, but it may not be over until January - if you remember, Devon's recruitment went down to the last few days, and until near the end, most thought that he was going to Notre Dame, or Michigan, or Michigan State, etc. (even though he had grown up as a Buckeye fan). FWIW....
