In my opinion, Ohio State has the #1 class with Oden being the difference maker over North Carolina, regardless they are both great classes. Lets hope they end up playing eachother in the future.

But I'm sure they're just happy with guys who really want to be Deamon Deacons.

the only thing that gave UNC the edge is their 6th man. If osu took a quality 6th, they would have been #1.

Thats a good point, but I have to believe when both classes are that close and you sign Oden, that should push you to the top. I mean he is by far the best player in the class.

I guess everyone just loves ACC basketball.

I agree totally. I would rather have our class then theirs.....To find a big man that is that gifted is rare. There are incredible guards every year.

    We should be #1. Figures.

We'll just have to kick their ass next year.

Based on those numbers (rankings, # of recruits), I can see why NC is number 1. However, it will be interesting to see if North Carolina's new recruits will play with any sort of chemistry once they hit the court.

I'd never trade our 5 for their 6. Ever.

You bet. I think its funny what some UNC guys are saying right now about how big men are overrated in college hoops. I think they are forgetting that the reason they won the NC last year is soley because Illinois couldn't handle their big man down low.

I would like to see tOSU and North Carolina match up in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge next year. Then, we would be able to see who has the better recruiting class. NC fans might change their minds on how important it is to have a good post player.

3 of the 5 Buckeye signees have played together for years and have led their AAU team to national dominance over the past 2 years. What other team signed 60% of a dominating team? This Buckeye class as a whole is much greater than the sum of its parts.

I still say that Ohio State has the better class. Oden is the difference in these two classes.

    :oh: :io:

    What about Chichester?

Good point. I have only seen one article that lists Chichester as a member of the class. He is ranked just outside the top 150 players in the class if I remember correctly.

USAToday has Chichester listed at #86.
