'06 VA WR/CB Damon McDaniel (Florida State signee; transfer to Hampton)

rivals.com$

1/18/06

According to his coach, McDaniel will visit FSU. McDaniel wants to make sure Florida is the right choice by visiting some other schools. Coach's opinion is that he is not reconsidering his verbal to Florida, only making sure its the right choice. tOSU will be in for a visit this week.

your optimism is overwhelming...

Roanoke Times

REGARDING THE OTHER recruits who are wavering, McDaniel was at Ohio State last weekend and, if he makes a change, the Buckeyes would be a good bet. However, he has visited Virginia Tech and Hokies’ assistant Bryan Stinespring has been working him.

HOly Moly.....damn thats good news!

All i want now is

1. Grant
2. Small
3. McDaniel
4. Gibson

And call it a night

it sounds like it might be time to warm up the bananas...Grant could be next! Small is in according to teammate Arvell Nelson (little slip of the tongue in an update recently). Gibson is in too. I think buckeyeinfla is probably right...McDaniel probably sticks with his UF commitment. hopefully we get Mathews and McDaniel and the other WRs headed to UF help our chance with Thompson in '07.

Those four would be great.

That Bowman did not get an offer may say someting interesting about where the coaches think we are in terms of numbers. Maybe he was plan B behind someone else. But if that was McDaniel why is Bowman recommiting now? And why take him through this process and not offer? Or is the other speed guy Small?

I also wonder if Grant is going to Oregon because he is still waiting on an OSU offer. Maybe he is our plan B after Gibson.

With six slots left and one going to a kicker I would not be surprised if the coaches magic number was 3.

That is looking more and more realistic as time is going by. Bowman re-affirmed his commitment to Iowa, Mathews has CONSTANTLY re-affirmed his commitment to scUM, and I've heard rumors about W.Lyons to WVU.

The whole time this speculation has been going on about Mathews, Bowman, and Lyons coming to OSU. The coaches (Obviously) must know alot more than we do. They know Grant, Small, and Gibson are locks (assuming good grades) but i also hope they know McDaniel is coming through as well :tongue2:

On BN someone said it was reported that McDaniel was torn between tOSU and FSU. He also went on to say he had no idea if that info was credible, so I assumed it wasn't. Hopefully he's right though, and McDaniel chooses to become a Buckeye.

He should know the depth chart definatly favors him at OSU more than FLA, AND the fact that we always put a WR in the NFl has to be good too. AND were always on national tv, so i know he knows what were all about, AND were winning a NC next year AND who wouldnt want to play with Ted Ginn. I don't know but I'm about to have a heart attack if he comes! its just a matter of time :hour:
