22,

Is this like the Dumb and Dumber line in which Jim Carrey had one chance in a million with Lauren Holley? "So there is a chance!" Sorry, I guess you had to see the movie.

Yeah, that's what it is...:shake:

There are certain ways siatuations have to be handled...I know the background behind this story and where there is smoke there is usually fire. Listen to what 22 is saying...

I thought I remember at one time Tress saying that they don't go after kids that have verbally committed to other schools...unless said recruit contacts OSU first.

does this mean that darren has proactively reached out to tOSU

No one is sure of the specifics right now but obviously Darren is not going to say anything at this point that would jeopardize his status with Virginia Tech. OSU has three other solid options at RB...we'll see how those play out and if Evans comes into play or not.

well if Boom comes in for spring I imagine he has a leg up on Saine and the other RB OSU seems to want. With that being said I guess it is C. Wells, Mo Wells, Boom, Saine, other RB. I think RB Trevor Robinson will be a Sr. next year but no idea on how much pt he will get, if any.

I don't think Boom will come in and play RB at tOSU (just an opinion). That being said, if Pittman stays, everything shakes up. If he goes, I think Saine becomes the 3rd option immediately.

As for Evans, I'd gladly take him as part of this class. The kid is a td machine and deserves any love he's getting right now for sure.

SUPER TEAM PLAYER OF THE YEAR: WARREN CENTRAL'S DARREN EVANS
He dives, thrives
Virginia Tech recruit turns one of football's simplest plays into instant offense and 5A titles for Warriors

By Pat McKee

It's called "32 dive," and it is one of the most basic plays in the offense for the Warren Central High School football team.

Senior Darren Evans, who has been voted The Star's 2006 football Super Team Player of the Year, called the play his favorite. Running behind center Bryce Stone, right guard Sherman Brooks and right tackle Kyle Rawn, Evans picked up many of his state-best 2,806 yards and a single-season state-record 61 rushing touchdowns on the play.

"I like it because I'm just running behind the big boys," said Evans, a Virginia Tech recruit who finished his career with 7,220 yards and 127 rushing touchdowns as a key player on the past three Class 5A championships. "It's just a straight-ahead play, just gaining yards."

Brooks said the linemen took pride in Evans' production.

"When running backs accomplish things, it means we accomplish things," Brooks said. "It means we're blocking (well). And he liked the dive because he knew we'd get on people and block until the whistle."

Warriors coach Steve Tutsie said the play's simple design showed just how good of a player Evans is because of how quickly he made reads.
"He's on the line of scrimmage in a split second and a lot of times, his big yards (came) from a cut he made off somebody's block," Tutsie said.
"Something that gets lost is besides Darren's (athletic) gifts and vision is he's a student of the game. He studies. He knows where that linebacker is going to be. He knows those defensive linemen and what stunts those guys like to do. He's not just running. He has a lot of ability, but he also knows where that (opponent) might be. That separates Darren."
