Eden Prairie HS
Eden Prairie, MN

Height: 6-3
Weight: 230

He is already receiving attention from Northwestern, Ohio State, Boston College, Iowa, Iowa State, Notre Dame and Minnesota. He has been to several Minny games and he was in South Bend for the BYU game. Bryce looks to be one of the better LB recruits in the Midwest next year. He is from the same high school as Walker Ashley.

at the AA combine in San Antonio, Bryce was named to the All-Combine team:

Free Scout

The three linebackers picked - Lorenzo Edwards, from Edgewater High School in Orlando, Florida, Joshua Gaines, from Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, Tex., and Bryce McNaul from Eden Prairie High School in Eden Prairie, Minn. - are all guys that not only excelled on the field, but passed the 'look test' off of it.

Nice size and obviously had a great combine, but with the depth at LB in Ohio next year, does he get an offer? What is the concensus among everyone?

There are just SO many great defensive prospects in Ohio next year...both at LB and S (and plenty of combo S/LBs as well). McNaul is one of the few OOS LBs I could see getting an offer. Devonte Campbell will likely get an offer, but given the recent parade starting in MD and ending at PSU, OSU is obviously not going to be the early frontrunner for his services. Of all the '07 OOS LB recruits I have seen so far, Manny Abreu, McNaul, Campbell and Robert Mullins (from the same high school as Mark Johnson) seem to be the cream of the crop. They are probably all likely to get token offers, but with guys like Hines, Dailey, Thompson, Dario, Hoover, Sears, Beeler and Tabron in-state and other guys like Zach Easterly and Cam Cullers at Detroit Cass-Tech, McNaul, Colasanti and Spencer Smith all likely to be rated highly in the region, it is going to be interesting to see how this plays out.

If we could bring in McNaul as the middle backer and have HInes and Dailey on the outside that would be one heck of a lb class.

From the ND site......Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Ohio State, Stanford, Boston College, Michigan have been in contact. Ohio State, Notre Dame, Iowa, Minnesota and Boston College are his early leaders. Calls ND a "dream school". Has visited most of the Big Ten schools. He is wide open at this point.

I certainly would not trade anyone he landed in that LB corp for Becker...but I really liked him and Weber and would have loved to have found a spot for them. Hopefully McNaul is serious about OSU, because getting him on campus for an official, most likely to be hosted by Laurinaitis, would be huge.

Also this is the same school as Walker Ashley so I am sure the coaches have a nice relationship with their staff.
