From Bucknuts...Morrow is getting mail from Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan, Illinois, Purdue and Ohio. He is being recruited as a safety or linebacker.

Another good looking safety/linebacker prospect in the '07 class in Ohio...

As a junior, Morrow had 75 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and 8 sacks. Currently has an offer from Wisconsin. Admits to being a Michigan fan as a kid. Also, is interested in Ohio State, Iowa, Purdue, Illinois and Syracuse. He will camp at Ohio State's 1 day camp this summer. Claims no leader at this point.

From OhioVarsity.com...Morrow picked up his first offer from Wisconsin. He is hearing from many schools including Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio State and Syracuse. Academics and location are important to him.

Morrow really broke out as a player this past season. Was playing CB for the JV's and didn't look comfortable, IMO. Put on some weight and moved to OLB in St. Edward's 4-4 defense and exploded. Looks like he'll be a strong safety in college. Has a nose for the ball and loves hitting and playing D. Very vocal kid.

I'd like to see his Ht, Wt, and 40 times from the San Antonio combine. Agree with Crazybuckfan that Ohio is loaded with Safeties and Morrow is probably just outside that group right now... But worth watching... along with St. Edward's other Juniors (S Nate Oliver, TE Kyle Hubbard, RB Frank Edmonds.... next group: S Morrow, LB Jeff Lucas, OL Ben Kuhar)

sehs... Does Diaunte have the frame to put on more weight and play LB in college?

I don't think LB is realistic. I think he was about 6'0, 180 in season. Supposedly he's grown, but we'll see when the San Antonio numbers are released. But if he's 6'1, 205 when next season rolls around, maybe he could make a move to OLB down the road, like Cie Grant.

St. Ed's will be playing St. Xavier in Ohio's week 3 at Paul Brown Stadium in Cinci. Week 4 they play Mission Viejo California (coach Bob Johnson, founder of Elite 11, Mark Sanchez alum), possibly at Crew Stadium in Columbus.

Bearbuck: Yes, part of the Herbstreit. It was the first confirmed matchup. The other that seems set is St. Xavier vs. Lakeland FL (possible pre-season #1 nationally). Other matchups I've heard have been Elder v. De La Salle (CA), Centerville vs. Hoover (AL), Moeller vs. Byrnes (SC). Exact matchups and locations are still in the works.
