From the Pitt site...OSU became the latest to offer Derrick last week. He visited Pitt last weekend with his mother. He will take all his officials before making a decision.

Just saw this over on BSB but a link wasn't provided, so remove if it's premuim, though I dont believe it is:
"Pennsylvania DL says OSU is favorite<!--EZCODE BOLD END-->

BSB - Mike Wachsman - 06/08/06

<!--EZCODE BOLD START-->Coatesville, Pa. defensive tackle Derrick Morgan had a big junior campaign, and he's parlayed that into scholarship offers from some of the top schools in the country. A 6-4, 260-pounder, Morgan grew up following Ohio State, but wasn't sure if he would get sufficient attention from the Buckeyes. His fears were put to rest when he received an offer last week. Find out his thoughts about that and more."

Keystone Recruiting Top 50

6. DERRICK MORGAN, Coatesville HS (Coatesville), DE - Defensive ends are at a premium, especially when they are fast, athletic, and already 260 pounds. Morgan is all those things, and has nine written offers, including Pittsburgh, Penn State, West Virginia, Michigan State and North Carolina. He’s also drawing major attention from other big time programs, including Miami, who has promised an offer.

From BSB...updating the link above...Moragn is being recruited by Joe Daniels and has had OSU at the top of his list since the 20002 NC. PT and academics will be factors in his decision.

From the Miami site...Miami has offered and in this update Derrick says he has no frontrunners.

My take: this kid has an IMPRESSIVE offer list...OSU, Miami, Michigan Penn State, etc. I assume they are looking at him as a DT unless that 40 time is off. Haven't seen a shuttle time listed, so maybe he is extremely quick and can play DE.

The article basically focuses on Derrick's trip to NC State. One of his HS coaches played there. He is visiting OSU on 7/1 and BC on 7/8 and will not be camping at PSU.
