'08 FL WR/DB Brandon Harris (Miami Signee)

I used to follow this madness a lot closer than I do now. I've gotten to the point where I say give me the 20 or so kids every year that want to be Buckeye's, give me JT and his staff to coach them and I'll take my chances every fall. Good luck and no hard feelings to the kids who choose to go elsewhere*.

*Magnamious feelings do not apply to any Ohio born and raised player who has an offer to OSU and chooses scUM. There is a special ring of hell for traitors and the ass beatings you will take from OSU while on this earth are only the beginning.

EDIT: oops I thought this was in the general recuiting discussion thread, my bad mods, please move.

I think the fact that we were even in it this long with Brandon, shows how much he thought of our beloved school, and coach. Think about what a slam sunk this should have been. Da U is horrible and Brandon, will make an immediate impact. His father's ties to the school. A good number of his friends/acquaintances from the area will be going there. So good luck, and have fun with Stoneburner in a couple of years.

This stings posting this:

Rivals5: Impact freshmen

Brandon Harris, CB, Miami (Fla.) B.T. Washington (Miami)

Harris was another high school football star that helped lead his team to a state title. He caught 57 passes for 1,063 yards and 23 touchdowns, while recording 61 tackles and nine picks over the last two seasons for Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington. This all-state performer also gave extraordinary effort on all the special teams and was an aggressive blocker on running plays. Add these accomplishments to his top-rated performance at the Under Armour All-Star practices and you have a college football star in the making. He will get an early opportunity to show off his ball skills and speed on special teams for the Hurricanes. This should follow up with him being worked into nickel and dime packages in the defensive secondary.

WINTER PARK -- Booker T. Washington football coach Tim Harris ended the speculation over his future Saturday morning by announcing that he has accepted an administrative football position at the University of Miami.

Harris told The Miami Herald in an exclusive interview that his job will involve assisting UM head coach Randy Shannon, but in a ''non-coaching'' capacity.

''I'm basically going to be helping [Shannon] and learning from him what it takes to be a position coach at the college football level,'' Harris said. ``I'm very excited about the opportunity and grateful that he saw the potential in me to come in and do my part to help him win a national championship.''
