Well, many on here have sought to explain the phenomenon that is tibor75 in different ways - I think you just hit the nail squarely on the head - without even trying to answer that vexing question.

As for Shayne and Saddler I'd say the leader of the pack leads in these situations. If that leader has better options than the follower that is why the deal making breaks down.

So, ask yourself, is Hale / Saddler a leader with a follower (Saddler) or not? If any part of you says yes, the deal likely breaks down.

My answer - Hale leader, Saddler follower, and Hale has more options than Saddler.

I agree with you 100%, but the dynamic is a little different when dealing with family vs. high school buddy. These guys aren't just high school buds, they are family.

Like I said, most "packaged deals" are BS and never work out, but I think this one has a better shot of working out than most. Not saying it will work out to be a package, just that the chances of that being the case are better than most other packaged deal situations.

Saddler on the rise

Gateway running back/defensive back Cameron Saddler has received a lot more attention since hitting the camp circuit in the past month.

His offers jumped from 12 to 23, with recent ones coming from Cincinnati, Purdue, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

"I did have a favorite, Virginia, but it's starting to even out," he said. "Every team I put in my top 10 wants me bad.

"WVU is picking up real big. It seems like they got their mind made up of exactly what they want me to do when I get there."

Saddler and Gateway linebacker Shayne Hale originally wanted to go to college as a package deal. Since narrowing their separate lists to 10 schools, Michigan, Oregon and West Virginia are the only schools they have in common.

Shaynes measurables look a lot like Walter Dublins coming out of highschool. both 6'3'' around 235ish and running in the 4.5s-4.6's. I really think he ends up at end perfect Leo. Also very similiar measurables to Will Smith as well.

Heck, I put that one on a tee for you 22...

My esteemed colleague has learned that UM insiders do not like their chances with Hale and are fairly confident he ends up in S&G...FWIW.

Wade, that's huge (FWIW)...as I feel he would supplant the loss of Walter Dublin nicely. I also like Hale's moxie and the fact that he wanted to cover DeVoe one on one a few weeks ago (maybe months ago) again and again a la Tin Cup - that takes guts.
