Michael Langston of FlaVarsity.com posted on the Rivals board that we extended him an offer. Figured I'd start a thread and see if wadc or someone else could confirm.

Frankie Telfort, 5-foot-11, 194 pounds
ESPN 150 Watch List linebacker
Gulliver Prep (Miami)

Last summer, Gulliver Prep (Miami) outside linebacker Frankie Telfort listened in dismay as the doctor informed him he could potentially miss his junior season with a dislocated thumb suffered during a preseason practice. Telfort was a well-rounded student-athlete, but football had played an integral role in his life, he was not sure he could function normally.

Frankie Telfort lived up to the hype with a stellar performance at the Nike Football Training Camp.
"Honestly, I got real depressed, it was awful. I think I only slept like four hours a night while I was hurt," Telfort recalled.
Telfort had worked extremely hard preceding his junior season; he was in the best shape of his life and had big expectations. He spent countless hours in the weight room during the day building up his smaller 190-pound frame and worked intensely on his speed and footwork in the hot Miami summer nights.

I think it's safe to say this IS a Safety offer (btw, you can take the ? off the title too :)), especially with the situation we are in right now regarding Bell. He and Wood would probably NEVER miss a tackle back there!!

He has offers from all the big time schools...He is a stud on film...Will lay the wood, and shows great athletic ability...He and Wood would be a great combo at safeties, but there is still a lot of others on the board, but Frankie will be tough to pull out of Florida...

We need 'backers. Brandon Spikes is The Award Formerly Known as Dick Butkis fantastic, but he's gone after this year, and while the rest are coming along fine - quick and like to stick you - they appear to have some serious pass coverage issues. I hope we get that worked out.

BN Free Board - Bucks Nearly Done With Linebackers For 2009 Class

"The Bucks are planning to take four linebackers for their 2009 recruiting class. They already have Dorian Bell, Storm Klein and Jordan Whiting. They have offered Zach Boren, Jelani Jenkins and Pete Smith. Zach Boren told me last night the OSU coaches told him if he commits they are done with linebackers this year."
-Bill K

If true, Telfort definitely a safety?
