'09 FL WR James Green (Toledo Signee)

Rivals $

5/10

From the FSU site....Says schools have been by to visit him recently, including Arkansas, Alabama and Illinois. Article says that he holds an offer from Ohio State, but someone from the BPRT will have to confirm. Expects an offer from Florida State very soon and says he is wide open at this point.

And for what it's worth, James is not the one who says he has an offer from OSU...the WarChant reporter is. However, he is still in the running and I would not be totally shocked to see him get an offer at some point...

Green Still Available

By Phil Kornblut
WR James Green (6-4 200) of Tallahassee is still on the market after pulling back a commitment to Auburn according to a source familiar with his recruiting. Green apparently had given Auburn a pledge but quickly withdrew it and is continuing to weigh his options. He has offers from Auburn, USC, Central Florida, Minnesota, Syracuse, Iowa State and Ole Miss.

College Football Recruiting On the Trail 2010 - ESPN

Since the last posts, has apparently committed to Minnesota but then decommitted for Toledo - following Auburn, Tennessee and USF commitments along the way last year.

The Rockets have landed receiver James Green, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound prospect from Leon (Tallahassee, Fla.) for the Class of 2010.

ESPN is reporting, and some sources have confirmed to me, that four--star wide receiver James Green will be playing at Toledo rather than Minnesota this fall.

Green was the 6-2, speedy receiver from Florida who originally signed a letter of intent to play for Tennessee last year. But he had to sit out because he didn't qualify academically. He recently gave a verbal and signed a scholarship agreement with the Gophers.

Unfortunately, I'm being told that he did not qualify to be admitted here, the reason for his change of commitment.

Just to clear things up: Green did not sign a letter of intent to play at the U. An athlete can only sign one LOI and Green already had signed one with Tennessee. That means any subsequent commitment or signed scholarship agreement is not binding.
