Defensive end Nate Cadogan from the southern Ohio river town of Portsmouth is one of the top juniors in the state. He is already receiving interest from the likes of Ohio State. But will Cadogan most likely follow his older brother to Penn State? And might he even play two sports in college? We have those answers and more.

By Brian Snow...talks about his summer and what the upcoming season is looking like. Talks about watching his brother go through the process and says he thinks he will be a DE at the next level.

Sounds like we may have our work cut out for us if the staff deems Nate worthy of a Buckeye offer. His size is very intriguing. I wonder how wide a net the staff will cast now that we have the ability to sign a full class for 2009?

Junior Film.

Certainly good at eating up blockers...I see a future DT. Plays extremely low for his size and has the size already to project as a DT or NG.
I can't watch the video because I am at work right now, but it says DE/TE on Rivals..... could he be one of our TEs in 2009?

These OV Reviews are a great way to familiarize yourself with some of these Ohio players...well worth the price of Rivals.

As I mentioned before... with the way we use out TEs, I wonder if he would be a good pickup there? I am not sure how good his hands are, but he has a huge frame and OT experience. With the real possability of bringing in 2 TEs this year, Nate could be out more traditional style TE and then go after a more athletic, pass catching one to compliment him.

According to the BN$ article Nate has been impressed by the inerest of TOSU. I presumed the coaches were thinking of him on the DL.
No inside info here but speculating on the BGriff, . . .
Is Cadogan a candidate for a TE scholie?
OT just a moment. Looking at Ballard, Smith, Nichol, and DeLillo, suggest some measurables/skills prized by TOSU coaches--Blocking ability, Frame, Hands, Vertical and Speed.
Also the strong interest last year in pursuing Koger, passing on Moore, lead me to speculate that frame and blocking ability are a high priority for TE targets.
From Nate's bio:
Blocking experience/ability? Check.
Huge frame? Check.
Hands? Not sure.
Vertical/Speed? No VJ or 40 times listed on Rivals or Scout profile.
