'09 OH LB Dan Fox (Notre Dame Verbal)

Yeah i heard TOSU was looking at him as a TE. I watched his vidoe on scoutingohio.com It has no hightlights of him playing TE. But i like him at that position. He's long but needs to add some weight. I thinks he's around 6'4'' and runs a 4.7. And he looks like he runs a 4.7 on the video if not faster. And good hands had like to picks on the highlight tape for td's. Most of the video his team is playing glenville. I like this kid, seems very athletic, as is evident of him playing safety. I would hope he comes to camp, probably the only way he get's an offer. With no elite TE'S in this class and us needing a TE badly in this comming class he could be the guy. I see him as being a matchup problem for lb's he seems like he could really stretch the field with his speed. Which if he comes to TOSU he will only get faster. Hope he gets a look.:oh::io:

I watched Fox's film on Rivals and the only thing that really stood out to me was his size. He had decent instincts but that will only carry him so far at the next level. I would be very surprised if we offered, unless there are no other TE prospects out there.

I was pretty impressed with his film on ScoutingOhio...not sure if I see a Big 10 caliber TE, but I think he can definitely play at this level on defense. I imagine some schools might think he could grow into a LEO/Viper/DE/whatever they want to call it...

We've been working pretty much every single day through the summer, lifting and doing speed work. A lot of the guys who just play football have been working toward this sea son for quite a while longer. I play basketball and run track, so it's a little tougher for me to do that. Those guys started maybe three weeks after last season ended, lifting and working out.
I always see Glenville guys at the track meets. We watch them some, check their times. They have a great track team.
It's the first week, and right off we're playing quite a team. You want to play the best football teams. You want to get ready for the playoffs. When I first found out about playing Glenville in the first game, I was in (football/track coach Chuck Kyle's) office, probably during track season. Coach Kyle likes for us to play the great teams. With our schedule, you can see that.

Setting up the showdown Day 4: No. 1 St. Ignatius vs. No. 2 Glenville High School Sports News - High School Scores and Schedules with The Plain Dealer

Practice was pretty fast, up-tempo. It was a good mood. Everybody is excited.

We did a little bit of goal-line stuff. We did a little bit of "one-on-ones," mostly in the passing game. It was fun.

Pretty game-like, so everyone gets riled up.

We know it's a big game on Saturday, because this could possibly be a playoff game later on. Glenville is a very, very good team. We think we are definitely going to see them in the playoffs.

Thoughts from the Northmont game: Fox is a stud. He was all over the field tonight. His great frame is obvious at 6-4 220, and he will fill out to 240-245 easily. He has surprisingly good hips for his size in coverage, at his S/LB position. He has great technique...on outside runs, he not only seals the perimeter well, but also makes the tackle while shedding his blocker. He also absolutely unloaded on a WR tonight. He moves very well, is always around the ball, and is going to be a good one for Charlie Weiss. I used to not be so high on Dan Fox, but consider me pretty impressed.
