'09 OH RB Bud Golden (Illinois Verbal)

I love how he's looking to make it to the end zone every time he touches the ball. Looks like he's got some deceptive speed there too. He gets to the 2nd and 3rd levels quick. That "no frills" type of running is remeniscent of Antonio Pittman and I think that's why Pitt got overlooked a lot by the media, but I love it. Well worth the offer.

I can't believe that Illinois beat us to the punch on yet ANOTHER guy in Ohio. If Conley used the "shotgun" method to recruiting, Zook's using the "double-barrelled shotgun" method. Unbelieveable.

If we'd had Devoe in the '08 class, we would have taken another one in '09, especially with all the offers we have for '09. I think it's safe to say that we'll be looking to take 2 in this class with the possibly of 3, particularly since we will most likely be losing both Mo & Beanie after this year.

You can either be the first offer, or the best offer...

I'd rather be the latter.

Zooker is still trying to build the program with quality players from Ohio. Once they have more depth on the roster I think he will have to slow down a little bit and not offer so many( any good player in Ohio) and become a little more selective on who. Im not to worried about them. They are just the flavor of the month.

I like this offer alot. Grad took the words out of my mouth, he is a "smooth" runner with a good blend of power and speed. I don't like to throw comparisons around but his style reminds me of McGahee pre-injury at Miami.

Big fan...runs low to the ground, loses no speed off his cuts, good speed, great size, and the thing I love most is his burst. Good offer but hopefully Bud is buying his OL some dinner, because they do a heck of a job as well.

As most of you know, I am a Colerain almunus and a Colerain booster. I have seen Colerain matchup with some of the best football players in the country over the last 15 years or so. Bradley Glathaar, Darius Ashley, Adam Myers-White, Amos, Mike Daniels, Chichester, Rehring, both Underwood's, etc...

none of them impressed me as much as Bud Golden did as a sophomore two years ago. A lot of Colerain's 'game' is physical toughness and intimidation. Bud Golden in two games threw it back at the Cardinals. I'm not looking forward to Colerain facing Sycamore this year. This is a great offer. Bud can play and, in my opinion, was a better RB last year than the much hyped Darius Ashley.

I didn't even hear of this kid last year and I'm from Cincy, all you heard about was Darius Ashley. I might have to check this kid out! His film was pretty good. We might be in a fight with UC though.
