'09 WV ATH Craig "C.J." Crawford (Marshall Verbal)

I have a feeling it's only because they have offered so far. He has been to our campus a few times already. I say offer him as an "Athlete" and see where it goes from there. 6'2" 205 kids who run a 4.4 are not easy to come by... especially kids with those measureables and QB skills.

In my opinion it's just a matter of time before we offer him, most likely as an ATH. He is a guy who digs the tradition at PSU above all else....so this one's gonna be hard. However, he has visited us several times....so that's a good sign! In Tressel and the OSU facilities I trust!:biggrin:

I think some PSU folks expect an offer to be extended soon and a verbal shortly after that...of course things can change when a recruit starts to see a flurry of offers, so we'll see what happens.

From the Marshall site...talks about the King James tournament. Will be at the NIKE camp at PSU in May. Favors Wake Forest, Marshall, Virginia, and Penn State (first two have offered).

'09 bound, but why PSU hasn't offered is a mystery to me...

I can't understand it...some have said grades, the kids GPA is well above 3.0 and he has a 19 on the ACT. Todd Thomas has a Penn State offer and is obviously an in-state kid but his GPA isn't even close to 2.0. The only thing I can think of is that the coaching staff wants to offer him face-to-face after touring while at the Nike camp on the 10th or they are trying their hardest not to scare Tate Forcier who probably won't end up at Penn State regardless...so I am clueless on this one.

Don't understand why the coaches wouldn't be consistent with contact, but I'll be pissed if he doesn't get his offer after the Nike Camp on May 10th. They may want to see him in person and whether or not he can indeed play WR, S or hell maybe even RB rather than just assuming he is an athlete playing QB who could make the position switch; DWill to WR certainly hasn't been seamless as he has yet to really breakout after playing mostly QB in H.S. to get the ball in his hands.
