Pete has been pounding Michigan, ND, quality OOC opponents, won BCS bowls, and won a NC (or 2). I am not saying he is necessarily a better coach than Tress but the upsets is just a blemish when you consider he has the best record in recent seasons and he deserves to be considered in the Top 3 coaches. He shouldn't be knocked off his pedestal for losing to Oregon State, especially after they just beat the bejeezus out of us. Your baseline seems to be not losing, ever.

Coming late to the party on this. I just saw the update on AFN Sports (Jihaddi TV). This is freskin awesome and certainly makes my week much brighter! If we can handle buisness for the rest of the year while the SEC beats up on each other - who knows.

I think you miunderstood me. What I meant was, as a sc fan, I would be rooting for the bucks, unlike some osu fans that were not rooting for sc.
Certainly didnt say your fanbase is full of retards, I think there is quite afew very knowledgable fans on this site. That IS why I like reading posts here. My apologies if my comment was taken wrong. Also. I think after last night, SC will lose a bunch of those fans you talked about.

Ummmmmm....actually, well, uh, no. Last I checked, Tressel had lost a few games too. I didn't disparage Petey at all...I merely responded to the comment that "I'd trade our record for his" with "I wouldn't" because I think Tressel has been doing as good a job, despite what the media thinks. The Oregon State loss means little in the grand scheme...we lost to Northwestern in 2004 for fuck's sake.

This was just what I expected from the [sarcasm]OSU[/sarcasm] game. Unstoppable running, line dominance and Sanchez throwing away the game. I just thought it would have happened sooner.

I doubt Ohio State goes the the big game now. However playing USC again in the Rose Bowl with Pryor and Wells would be awsome. I heard about OSU vs Arizona in the Rose (cnnsi:Mandel) and that would have been a bad game. If we come back and beat USC this season it would do a lot for OSU.

No, I'm pretty sure he was volunteering that we have a lot of retards in our fanbase, not saying you said we did. And I think he's talking more about other boards than this one, which is why we like to be here, and have other cool fans from other programs we play (or don't play) here too (I'll stop speaking for him now :biggrin:)
