'10 FL S Matt Elam (Florida Verbal)

Not to reign on FSU`s parade but Jimbo hasn`t proven he can win as a head coach at this level....just the new thing happening right now. Urban is probably gone, he is the only proven coach of the big 3. Randy Shannon is still only so so. I can only hope tOSU can pick up a few more Florida guys in the next few years. Go Bucks

Attracting top talent has never been a problem for FSU... developing that talent and keeping it out of trouble has been the problem.

Bowden - with his 90s ACC schedule and the talent he recruited - probably did less with more than any other coach the last 20 years, even with his two MNC.

Apparently when Urban said he needed to get things in his life back in order: God, family, and health (in that order), he forgot something. FAMILY. He is doing all the same things he was doing a few weeks ago before the decision to take a leave of abscense. I didn't like the rationale he gave for leaving before and it certainly looks more foolish now.

His family isn't seeing him anymore now than they did before b/c he's too busy trying to keep this thing together @ UF. Supposably he didn't even consult his family before making the decision after a spirited practice that he wasn't actually going to retire after all so how much have his priorities really changed? And now all I hear about is this recruit and that recruit getting calls from Meyer trying to save the UF recruiting class from becoming a fire sale. Coaching isn't a part time job. He isn't capable of handing over his coaching responsibilities to the staff and taking a back seat to anything that goes on w/ his team, especially recruiting.

I guess whatever he said to Elam worked though b/c now he's wavering on his decision to stay w/ FSU or become a gator again.
