ND's Kelly To Visit James

Four-star offensive tackle and U.S. Army All-American Matt James (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier), confirmed with Irish Sports Daily that Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly will make an in-home visit on Monday.
The 6-foot-7, 280-pound James has a top three of Ohio State, Cincinnati, and the Irish, and will make an official visit to South Bend this weekend. He's visited each of his favorites several times in the past.
Notre Dame has also offered James' teammate, quarterback Luke Massa (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier). A soft verbal commit to Cincinnati, Massa will visit the Irish campus this coming weekend as well. Look for Kelly to see him while he's in town.

Kramer is a very solid ball player...and he's hungry. I thinks OSU offering him preferred status as a walk on is a good thing for both parties.

I don't think this will have an impact on James, though. I don't think Massa de-commits from UC and it will come down to OSU and UC for James with OSU getting its man in the end. The stability/family atmosphere/traditions/proximity to home and academics will be the deciding factors. James is a down to earth kid and very humble. Brian Kelly stands for everything opposite of James.

just my opinion, of course.

JT and staff will do the in-home Wednesday night...they are having homemade lasagna for dinner

LOL...now THAT is the definition of having the goods.

If you weren't such an elitist I'd rep you for that. Same for you Wad....and my rep power is like 23 points or something so you are really missing out.

Let that be a lesson to you both.... :wink2:... and thanks for continuing to provide great information even when some here misinterpret your tone and also don't recognize the significance of your contributions.

Back to Matt...

Great info Honor&Glory. For James to indicate about a month ago that OSU leads was huge IMO. This kid has been very humble and quiet throughout his recruiting. He has not given any indication as to how he will go. I think OSU is the team to beat. ND gets last shot but remember, Kelly was at UC and left some people bitter. James' Dad is an alumni. I think OSU being consistent, low key and stable wins in the end. Just my opinion.

After watching the All-America game James is very underrated! Really was getting after people. Definitely plays with a Brewster/Boren style of tenaciousness.

FWIW.

Buddy saw a game he was in against a school from Kentucky and said he was a bright spot in a tough loss along with a wide-out can remember the name.

Hope he comes our way!

Well, at least JT is not taking his mother out for a nice steak dinner and then never calling her again.:)

I would expect that from Lane-gone or "bowl game, what bowl game, rudy never said anything to me about a bowl game" Kelly... not so much from the vest.

:topic:... yes I know I am!
