Not much info at this point, but he has been down to Columbus, according to this update from the Boo Williams...

LINK

Peshon Howard, a 5?10 WG, is brand new to the Buckeye State after moving from California and Maryland. Howard has instantly moved to the top of the 2010 pecking order since being reclassified. With his dominate play at the showcase, Howard surprised a lot of people who had not seen him play.

Listed at 6-foot-2 here...

You must of read my mind...

I sent OBJ a pm just last night telling him it might be time for a thread on him...

It will be interesting to see how he does this summer...I believe he is playing on the same AAU team as Roe, Frease and Crater this weekend...

Unless he is playing on the younger team...

Howard has been in Ohio since 2005 and I believe played point on Delvon Roe's St Ed's team. Between him, Kellogg, and Sullinger there is some nice talent for 2010.

It's not "my link" and I posted it solely to illustrate that Howard had moved to Ohio only a few years ago and was thought to be one of the top players in the state for the class of 2010. I state at the top that he plays for Lakewood St. Edward, which is where Delvon Roe attends high school as well.

Saw the kid play a few times this year, has a very mature body and looks to be in the 6'1 range more than the 5'11 range. Although he has a mature body, his seems to be pretty immature with the actions I saw of him on the court and on the bench. I will say, as soon as I saw him play and found he was a freshmen I told my father he was going to be big time from what I saw of him on the court.

In Ohio. Thomas out of Fort Wayne would most likely be 1.

I havent actally seen Sullinger or Howard, any more than a clip or two, but I have seen Kellog play twice now and IMO putting him at 3 is selling him short...

Either way I would love to have 4 ships for 10' class for the guys you have listed...

There is another very good Ohio guard names Storm Sanders from GlenOak. He'll definitely be one to watch. I'm guessing that he and Howard will battle it out for best guard honors in Ohio that year.

I believe Sanders is very much in the Conley mold. Very fast, but under control point guard that can score when he needs to but is more concerned with running the offense.

I'll be interesting to see how these two players do when Kosta and Roe move on.

Howard talks about the attention he has been getting. He says he has verbal offers from both tOSU and IU. He has also heard from Wake, MSU, Louisville, Purdue, UNC, Oregon, and UCLA. Also of note Howard holds a 3.4 GPA and won the St. Ed's defensive player of the year...

This is the first I have heard about the offer, but if true I like it, and he would be a welcomed addition to the 10' class. Don't see a decision coming anytime soon tho.
