That's what I was thinking as well. If he grows bigger, any chance of transitioning to LB or DL?

It's possible but this kid is being talked about as one of the better RBs to come through Ohio in the last few years. I think RB is the position he plays at the next level, barring a major growth spurt...

An interesting match-up tonight. North Canton Hoover (Erick Howard) vs. Licking Valley (Storm Klein)

Erick has the chance to become the best running back to come out of Hoover since Jeff Logan. An Ohio St. captain in 1977. Howard also started as a linebacker last year as a freshman. Even though he is listed at 210, he will be able to carry 215 to 220 by his senior year, and probably not lose a step. If he keeps developing, I think this kids talent will take him easily to the next level.

Livin in the heart of the federal league hopefully I should get to see him... might be able to drag my fiancee along willingly to the Perry game as she is an alum, plus I'd get to see howard and Magnacca

North Canton Hoover, meanwhile, delivered four touchdowns in the first half. Speedy sophomore running back Erick Howard scored three of those touchdowns and finished with a game-high 143 yards rushing as the Vikings went on to a 34-7 victory to continue in a tie for first place in the Federal League with Boardman and Massillon Perry.

cleveland.com: Everything Cleveland

It didn't take the Vikings as long as last week, when it needed five overtimes to subdue Toledo St. John's. They needed just four plays to score when senior Phillip Howard, older brother of star running back Erick Howard, scored on a 4-yard run and senior Matt Wakulchik added the extra point to give Hoover its final seven-point margin.
