Harrah on the rise

Another Ohioan to keep in mind is tight end Brad Harrah (Marion, Ohio/ Pleasant). The 6-7, 240-pounder only caught 15 passes during his junior season, but recruiters are impressed with his size, athletic ability and potential.

Harrah has scholarship offers from Indiana, Iowa State and Toledo.

Coaches from Ohio State, Michigan, Cincinnati, Ohio University, Bowling Green and Ball State stopped at his school in the past week.

"I really haven't visited any schools yet," Harrah said. "I like Cincinnati, but I have to go out and visit schools."

Harrah's uncle, Toby Harrah, was a very good major league baseball player for the Washington Senators, Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers.

Ohio TE on the go

Tight end Brad Harrah (Marion, Ohio/Pleasant) had a busy weekend. He headed north to play in an AAU basketball tournament in Toledo. While on the trip, Harrah visited the University of Toledo on Friday and then headed further north on Saturday to attend Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez's barbeque at the Big House on Saturday.

"It was great," Harrah said of the BBQ. "I talked to [Michigan assistant] coach [Bruce] Tall and I spoke briefly with coach Rodriguez. We went on a tour and then they had the cookout. It was fun."

The 6-7, 240-pounder landed a scholarship offer from Cincinnati on Friday morning shortly before he left for Toledo. He also has offers from Iowa State, Indiana, Toledo, Akron, Ball State, Ohio University and Robert Morris.

Harrah plans to visit Cincinnati on Thursday, Iowa State on June 10, Indiana on July 1 and Ball State on July 2. He will also attend Ohio State's senior advanced camp on June 26.
