10 Questions with Florida LB Elijah Hodge
By: Alan
BuckeyePlanet.com

Elijah is a national top-100 player from Fort Lauderdale Dillard High School whose brother is current Iowa Hawkeye standout LB Abdul Hodge. He has narrowed his college choices down to Ohio State, Iowa and Wisconsin.

Elijah was kind enough to take some time out of his busy schedule to spend a few minutes with the BuckeyePlanet.

1)What coaches from Ohio State are currently recruiting you?

EH: Coach Fickell and Coach Hazell

2)Other than becoming an All-American and future NFL player, what would you want to be?

EH: An Athletic Trainer

3)Who wins the wrestling match: Elijah or Abdul?

EH: Abdul (authors note: no hesitation in the answer)

4)What are your thoughts about the recent success a number of
South Florida players have had at Ohio State (Gamble, Holmes,
Salley, Matthews, etc.)?

EH: It just lets me know that if I go up there and work hard that I will be successful.

5)PS2 or Xbox …and what games?

EH: PS2 and any Madden games.

6)Who has been the greatest influence in your life?

EH: My brother.

7)What part of the recruiting process do you enjoy the most and what do you feel is the worst?

EH: I enjoy the trips and going to see the places. The worst is the late night calls.

8)Choice: Interception and take it to the house or a bone-crushing stop at the one to save the game as time expires?

EH: No doubt, a stop at the one.

9)If you could hang for one night with any three people, who would they be?

EH: Michael Jordan, Martin Luther King and Michael Jackson.

10)What is something you would like Buckeye fans to know about you?

EH: I’m going to be the best LB to ever play college football.

I broke my rule of ten and went on to ask if Elijah is indeed a soft verbal to Iowa as other boards have indicated. He quickly responded that he “has not committed to anyone. That is totally false.”

After speaking with Elijah tonight, I have to say that he is a very well spoken, confident young man and will be a great addition to the school that he eventually chooses.

Thank you Elijah for your time tonight.

Alan.
