Great speed, power, size, jumping ability. Seems to have a really great acceleration, you can see how much momentum he gets going forward and he gets it really fast. Kid's gonna be big biggg time. His sophomore film is veryyy impressive. I would take him right now.

When I mentioned scouts really liking Jordan Walsh, this was another kid who being mentioned as a top 5 kid in Illinois next year...Rodney Coe and Tanner Crum are two other names we are seeing a lot. No idea if OSU has contacted those two but it seems like they are very interested in Daniels and Walsh.

I believe Scout had an article a month or two ago about Coe. I remember reading about Alabama's pursuit of him, and it mentioned Ohio State and Illinois as two other schools in contact.

I'll do a quick search for it right now, in fact.

Offers hard to refuse: Vernon Hills does not have a Division I player in its senior class, but that hasn't stopped a flurry of visits from coaches eager to meet junior receivers and best friends DaVaris Daniels and Evan Spencer.

Each already has seven scholarship offers, according to Vernon Hills coach Tony Monken, whose only concern is finding someone to throw them the ball next season.

"Any quarterback who wants to move, we'd be more than willing," Monken joked. "You've got two Division I receivers to throw to."

The 6-3 Daniels, who played quarterback much of the time for Vernon Hills (8-3), almost certainly will be a receiver on the next level. Monken said some coaches have talked about the possibility of using the 6-1 Spencer as a cornerback.

Illinois, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Iowa and Wisconsin have offered both.

Michigan, Iowa among schools going after WR Daniels - ESPN

ESPNU 150 Watch List wide receiver DaVaris Daniels (Vernon Hills, Ill./Vernon Hills) has added three scholarship offers to a list that was already impressive.

Daniels' most recent offers have come from Michigan, Notre Dame and Purdue. Previously Daniels had offers from Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Miami.

"Purdue offered in writing," Daniels said. "Michigan, I talked to Rich Rodriguez. And I talked to [Notre Dame] coach [Brian] Kelly."
