Pfef, it's been the same story all year. 10-0, 2,600 yds, 70% comp, 28TDs, 6 Int. Things picking up. Not with OSU and I wouldn't think that will change. It will be interesting to see where he goes. Hate to lose another local but, TP will is the guy for OSU.

osujunkie,
you've been keeping track but maybe got sidetracked by the Sat game.
Stoudt went 21-29 for 225 and 2TD. I was there. Supposedly Shuggarts, Posey, and Brewster were too.

21 for 29 with 6, (SIX) dropped. Special teams were horrible. Play calling way questionable at best. All that talent, all those weapons, why do they ever run? It's fun to watch them at their best. Jake played well, Fairchild did not play. They still beat Gahanna in a game that Gahanna 'fans' will say could have gone either way. People who know football will tell you Gahanna was almost given a game they shouldn't ever be in. Stoudt can wing it, why don't they let him????????????????????????????????????????? He'll never be an OSU kinda guy, but his HS team is fun to watch.

Didn't he move from Pickerington?? They play Pick Central Sat night in round 2. Is that the school he was at?? That would make it a bit more fun for everyone.

From highlights...I would have to say that Boeckman and Stoudt are similar QB's....both ran similar offenses in highschool if I am not mistaken and both are "ranked" about the same when it comes to recruiting services.

Heck Pitt offered Boeckman as well :)

Like I said before, I think this year is just a case of bad timing. JT has recruited and signed similar QB's in the past(Boeckman grayed shirted in 02 and signed with the 03 class, Schoenhoft in '05)....but when the #1 QB recruit in the country is showing interest, a kid will the same build as Stoudt but brings another dimension with his legs, a staff can't ignore them.

I still say if Pryor was not in the picture, OSU would most likely be showing more interest. Actually, change that, if Bauserman wouldn't have come back I think Stoudt gets more interest because OSU would most likely have to take a QB this year and would be recruiting more than one QB this year

Timing is everything. He'll end up somewhere, just not here. Not just timing, but you don't stick a round peg in a square hole. He should go somewhere where he will be utilized in a way that suits him. It'll be interesting where that might be. I wish him luck.

St. Xavier's Patrick Muldoon puts pressure on Dublin Coffman's quarterback Zack Stoudt almost causing an interception in the second quarter in their Division I State Semifinal game at Dayton's Welcome Stadium Saturday November 24, 2007.

Great defensive struggle. Both St X and Coffman shut down each other's offense all night. Except that is, for the last 11 minutes. Led by Stoudt, Coffman put together an 80 TD drive to make it 10-7 with 7:06 to play. Then Coffman got the ball back on their own 15 with 1:23 left to play and NO timeouts. On the drive Stoudt hit a 3rd and 10 pass for a first, ran on a 3rd and 6 for a first, hit a 3rd and 14, and a 4th and 11. With the ball on the 13 yd line Coffman tried one more play before attempting a FG. Stoudt hit Bittel at the 6 but St. X's defensive player of the year came up to make the hit that kept Bittel inbounds. Drive over, season over. What a game, what a show by the Rocks and Stoudt in the last 11 minutes. They have nothing to be ashamed of. And their underappreciated Defense led by Steve Gardiner was incredible.

Would have been nice to see him in the beloved colors but it was the wrong year. Timing is everything.

Congrats to you Zack. Read where you are headed to Pitt. For some reason I have to think, isn't that as it should be? Kick butt in the Burgh!!!

Youins have a great career!!
