Taylor is considered a top PG and will reportedly be visiting tOSU for the Indiana game.

Hoopscoop isn't the most reliable source, and I think they had him ranked high when he was in 6th grade through maybe 9th. I don't know this for certain, but I had heard that the Hoopscoop guy that rated players from Ohio and surrounding area was some relation to the Taylor's and that may have accounted for the high national ranking at the younger ages.

That being said, he's a great kid (as is his older brother) and is a very solid all-around player. He's got good quickness for HS, but I don't think his athleticism is B10 caliber, at least not for a team that is likely to contend for championships.

Hoopscoop loved this guy. They had him as a top 10 player in his class for something like five years in a row.
If Hoop Scoop is still being done by Clark Francis, I will tell you that historically his ratings are very bias. I subscribed to his periodical years ago and they were always pretty bias so I would take his ratings with a grain of salt. However, when it comes to knowing where guys might be going, he usually pretty right on target. However, Francis does love Kentucky.

Everything I have read about Stevie Taylor is that he is an exceptional basketball player (pretty quick, good handle, and a true PG). The one thing that he is lacking right now is heighth and if he would grow a couple inches I think he can get offers from some pretty big D-1 colleges.

However, saying all of the above wigmon seems to know him pretty well so I guess you would have to lean on his word.

I just want to be clear that I have no connections directly with the Taylor family, but do know some who know them and have spoken with Robbie a time or two and he is a very polite young man (should excell at MVNU). I have seen Stevie play some games in HS but have not seen him play in AAU. For HS and his age, he is a great BB player, but his family is pretty height challenged and I doubt he gets much bigger than he currently is. If he were a legit 6', then it might be a different story. He's only going to be a soph this year, so its not out of the question that he could take his game to another level, or grow quite a bit more, but I just don't think he's going to make it to that level where OSU would offer.
