One of the top players in Ohio in his class. Also one of the ranked in the top 4 hurdlers in the nation. Smooth route runner with a great burst. Can make plays anywhere on the field, and makes defenses gameplan against him.

However the best at Madison might be even further down the road. Sophomore wide receiver A.J. Jordan was an all-conference selection this season. The 6-foot-1 and 170-pounder caught 30 passes for almost 500 yards and four touchdowns. Jordan, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds, was impressive at Ohio State's football camp in June.

"He's special," Madison coach Maurice Douglas said. "He's going to be my first Ohio State (scholarship) offer under my watch."

I was just about to post that this would be the first kid from Trotwood that we would truly offer and pursue, but it looks like the coach beat me to it with his last statement there saying he would be the first that we offered...

Peake was pretty close...

I was thinking it be nice to star recruiting Render for the 2010 class. They always have impressive athletes but none have yet to seem to have everything the osu coaches are looking for. But this kids has great numbers for a sophmore and seems like he's already made a shwing in camp.

One of the top sophomores in Ohio....As a sophomore WR, he caught 30 passes for 500 yards and 4 TDs....The only freshman on a talent-laden team and he had 1 reception for 8 yards....One of the top hurdlers in the nation....Runs crisp routes, has an excelent burst and is very fast....His coach says that he should eventually receive an offer from Ohio State.

Wasn't John Lumpkin from Trotwood?

Since the coach that is there now has been there...
oh, ok. It's funny how they're cranking these football players out now because when I was growing up in Dayton in the 90's guys like John Lumpkin were rare. In the meantime the traditional Dayton-area powers like Meadowdale (Peerless Price) and Dunbar (Dan Wilkinson) have taken a backseat to Trotwood.
