No. Benn went to Washington DC Dunbar High School. About 35 miles from this Dunbar.

Rep for that...you're right...McManus is from Paul Laurence Dunbar HS in Baltimore...Benn was from Dunbar HS in Washington D.C.

Deontay McManus, ATH/LB, Baltimore (Md.) Dunbar
McManus worked out at receiver for most of the event and the Future247 prospect said afterward that that?s the position he would like to play in college. He was not stopped very often during one-on-one drills and looked outstanding in position work. He?s a big-time, versatile athlete and though he projects higher on the defensive side of the ball, being a big-bodied receiver (he?s already 215 pounds) isn?t out of the question.
McManus claims more than 20 verbal offers and said most recently Oklahoma State and Oregon, two schools he says he likes because of the style of offense, starting showing him serious attention.
?I am going to be looking hard at what type of offensive system the schools run to see if It fit in there,? he said.
McManus was named the overall Most Valuable Player and was the top prospect at the event.

What quality level of competition does he play?

The level of competition isn't all that great. Maryland 1A football is pretty small.....Dunbar played against the high school I graduated from (Havre de Grace) in the State Title game this year and I wasn't overly impressed by anyone on the field. Granted, that was only one game & I wasn't there to evaluate the players lol

That's what I was afraid of. After watching his highlights I feel like he's an above average player, looking a lot better than that against not so great competition

We shall see. If the coaches view him worthy of an offer, that's all I need to know.

Recruiting Report: McManus highlights Next Level Nation event

Dunbar wide receiver DeonTay MacManus earned Showcase MVP honors, demonstrating to Robinson why he has earned almost 20 Division I scholarship offers already. "On the field, he's just a mismatch for anybody," Robinson said. "If a corner comes up on him, he's probably not big enough. A safety is probably not fast enough. It can't be a linebacker, because he's not quick enough. There's really no way to contain the kid." The 6-foot-1, 200-pound junior was a Baltimore Sun first-team All-Metro selection at safety.
