'13 IL OL Ethan Pocic (LSU Verbal)

Oh they will very soon. Just wait.

I really, really like Beckman, but honestly I just don't see that ever happening.

I think he'll do a great job there, Chicago area has lots of raw athletes - so I'm sure he'll be able to pick up some under valued kids and develop them, and he'll get kids like that in Ohio all day as well because of his ties there.

Thats real good news. SCum should be already filled up with OL. And I dont think we'll ever see the day Bucky Bielema gets a kid Urban wants. Listen to your parents!

Michigan might, and I repeat might get a commit by the end of the week from an OL.

If that happens, they probably shut OL recruiting down and then you'd be looking at a Wisconsin vs. Ohio State battle for Pocic. I like Ohio State in that battle.

Forgive me for not having a link, but rumors going around say that Michigan will only take a 6th OL if it's Pocic.

As soon as I can find a link, I'll post it.

EDIT: Ohio State just offered OL Colin McGovern, per Allen Trieu.

I think Michigan would take a 6th if it was Pocic or McGovern... Both are Tackles and the 5 that Michigan has on board can play all over, much like the 2012 haul as well.... Pocic seems like he will wait it out and take all 5 officials though.. Kid is quiet

I have no idea what Pocic prefers, or what he would want out of a school. However, for the most part, it seems that when you have a 5 OL class in '12 and a 5 OL class in '13 already, any one OL would find it difficult to say, "Oh yeah, playing time is not an issue there." They have a great OL haul coming in from the '12 and '13. But there are only 5 starters and most of those 10 kids will be playing next to each other for 3-4 years so they will need to sort that out.

Hes regarded as a Top 50 player nationally so I would hope he is not worried about who he will have to compete with.... That is an excuse that really worries me about linemen... I think both of us know how easily injured OL are and even being #2 on the depth chart still means you are one snap away from jumping into action.

I would generally agree with you, but Rich Rodriguez left Michigan with little to no depth. An actual two deep would be nice.

Do I think UM's OL haul hurts our chances with Pocic, absolutely, though I hold out some hope.

EDIT: Allen Trieu, on if UM would take Pocic; If he wanted to come, I think it'd be tough to turn down, but it's a numbers game, so I can't say for sure.
