What is all the fuss about?

Wingfield scored 17 points, grabbed 17 rebounds, swiped eight balls, blocked six shots, and dished out three assists in his first-ever varsity contest in a 42-37 win over a good Bethel-Tate team.

The Country Day freshman proved he wasn?t a one-hit wonder scoring 19 points, snagging eight rebounds, and dropping three dimes in a 67-18 triumph of New Miami.

Wingfield On The Move
April 20, 2010

D.J. Wingfield has apparently enrolled at Lockland High School, according to sources close to the situation. The 6-foot-4 freshman had a solid rookie season at Cincinnati Country Day this past year averaging nearly 18 points per game.

Prep Spotlight has Wingfield rated at the No. 1 wing in the Class of 2013. He plays for Team Jordan on the AAU circuit, who will be in action this weekend at the King James Shooting Stars Classic.

Ohio State AAU Recap
June 7, 2010

D.J. Wingfield - Wingfield put up massive numbers as a freshman in high school playing for a weak team against bad competition, but the kid is no joke on the floor. At 6-foot-4 he isn't a point guard, but he has point guard tendencies. He is able to beat his man off the dribble going both right and left, and once in the lane he is a great passer with a feel for the game. Now he does need to be a consistent jump shooter as his future is on the wing, but in an upset win over the All-Ohio Red 15's, Wingfield was the best player on the floor and took over the second half with his play. He looks to still be growing physically, and with his understanding of the game, his future is very bright.

Adidas Invit: Day 2
July 8, 2010

D.J. Wingfield - The class of 2013 wing was solid in helping his Team Jordan squad pullout a big win. Wingfield is someone who absolutely loves to use the middle of the floor. All of his drives come from the wing and go to the midline where he either uses his excellent court vision to get a bucket for a teammate, or converts with athleticism and a solid jump shot. He does need to improve on catch and shoot situations from deep, but his passing and natural instinct to score make him a good looking prospect going forward.
